1. Overview
Connections: The SD1+ is connected between the alarm control panel and the tele-
phone line. It does not affect normal operation of other telephone terminals. In the
event of a power outage, the speech dialler is supplied with mains back-up from the
alarm control panel.
The SD1+ Speech Dialler has up to 4 trigger inputs which can send differentiated
alarm messages, e.g. A – Fire, B – Personal attack, C – Burglary, etc. The alarm inputs
correspond to the messages A, B, C, and D (if programmed).
The trigger inputs are connected either to the control panel itself or simply directly
via an alarm contact (potential-free NC or NO).
Alarm number: The SD1+ will dial up to four 24-digit telephone numbers and trans-
mit the appropriate message. These numbers are entered using the operating panel.
Note: Direct dialling to the police or fire department is not permitted in Germany!
In other European countries it may be permitted. Find out from your local
authorities.
