5.2 Unpacking the device
Handle the device with extreme care when unpacking it.
If the original packaging has been damaged, inspect the device. If the device shows signs
of damage, return it in the original packaging and inform the delivery service.
6. Installation
6.1 Removing the dome
Firstly, remove the white dome ring by turning it anti-
clockwise.
Then loosen the three adjustment screws on the dome. The
dome can now be removed.
6.2 Laying the cables
The cables can be laid on the side (so that they are visible) or through the underside (so that they
are hidden). A cable connection (M25X1.5) is attached to the housing to protect against moisture.
The cable connection and the connecting cable are pre-installed on the side as standard.
Carefully loosen the fixing screw for the cable inside the camera. Carefully loosen
both connecting cables (round plug for HD-SDI signal and two-pin plug for power
supply).
Open the union nut of the cable connection and remove the cable connection with the connecting
cable. Remove the cover and the underside of the camera. Feed the connecting cable through the
opening on the underside and screw the cable connection into the opening. Then connect the cable
connection correctly with the union nut.
The connections for HD-SDI video signal and power supply inside the camera must be
carefully reinstalled. Then fix the cable using the fixing screw.
26
6.3 Installing the camera
Hold the base plate at the intended installation
location, mark the two mounting holes on the
surface, and drill the holes. Use the screws and
wall plugs provided to fasten the base plate in
place. Cables can be laid at the side or hidden
in the ceiling or wall.
6.4 Connections
Before starting installation, ensure that the mains voltage and the rated voltage on the camera are
identical.

6.5 Connecting the video cable
In order to transmit the video signal from the HD-SDI camera to an HD-SDI converter, monitor or
recorder, an RG6 or RG59 coaxial cable with a BNC plug (male) must be connected to the video
output. The cable length to the next device may not exceed 80 meters (RG59) or 150 meters (RG6).
To increase the range, you can install suitable signal HD-SDI repeaters.
