To add a swatch:
• In the Kuler panel, select a swatch, and then click the flyout menu > Add to Swatches.
To add multiple swatches:
• In the Kuler panel, hold the Ctrl/Cmd key and select multiple swatches, and then click the flyout menu > Add to
Swatches. You can also use the Shift key to select multiple swatches.
To add a theme:
• In the Kuler panel, select the entire theme by clicking the theme's folder icon. The entire theme is added to the
Swatches panel.
To add multiple themes:
• In the Kuler panel, hold the Ctrl/Cmd key, click multiple theme folder icons, and then click the flyout menu >
Add to Swatches. You can also use the Shift key to select multiple themes.
4 If you have an extensive list of themes, search the theme using the Find box (flyout menu > Show Find Field).
Searches are performed on the names of the themes.
5 To view the details of the Kuler account being currently used, and the date and time when the Kuler panel was last
refreshed, click the flyout menu.
Adjusting colors
Shift an out-of-gamut color to a printable color
Some colors in the RGB and HSB color models, such as neon colors, cannot be printed, because they have no
equivalents in the CMYK model. If you select an out-of-gamut color, an alert triangle
appears in the Color panel or
Color Picker.
❖ Click the triangle to shift to the closest CMYK equivalent (which is displayed in a small box by the triangle).

Shift a color to a web-safe color
Web-safe colors are the 216 colors used by all browsers, regardless of the platform. If you select a color that is not web-
safe, an alert cube
appears in the Color panel, Color Picker, or Edit Colors/Recolor Artwork dialog box.
❖ Click the cube to shift to the closest web-safe color (which is displayed in a small box by the cube).
