5 Put the log splitter in vertical position (piston

rod upright) and screw the support foot (4) on

the rear feet.

6 Erect the log splitter and mount the cross

members in front (6a) with the help of the

threaded rod (6b).

Mains connection

1 Connect the cable to the mains supply.

STARTUP

CAUTION!

The log splitter should not be operated if

components (e.g. the protective hoops)

are missing or defective or the connec-

tion cable is damaged.

Prior to every use

CAUTION!

Before operating the log splitter on the

ground needs to be fixed, and thus be

secured against falling over!

1 Conduct a visual inspection of the log splitter.

2 The log splitter should not be operated if com-

ponents are missing, defective or loose.

3 Visually inspect the connection cable. A de-

fective connection cable (e.g. with cracks,

cuts, crushing damage or bends in the insu-

lation) should not be used.

4 Visually inspect the hydraulic components for

leaks.

5 Fix log splitter with appropriate means on the

ground

Log splitter start-up

CAUTION!

The transportation wheels are only used

to transport the log splitter.

During splitting operation, the wheels

must be removed from the feet and

mounted in the park position (12).

CAUTION!

Never lay the log on the splitter in trans-

verse direction, see Illus. 10. Never force

the splitting of a log by sustaining the hy-

draulic pressure over several seconds.

CAUTION!

The log splitter should only be used by

one person.

ADVICE

After splitting, tighten the venting screw

(7) again .

1 Position the log splitter horizontally on a level,

firm surface, better with a slight inclination

towards the operating lever (since the valves

are seated here). If inclined towards the split-

ting wedge it loses splitting force. Do not de-

posit the log splitter on the connection cable!

2 Lay the connection cable so that it cannot be

damaged by bending, crushing or otherwise.

3 Loosen the venting screw (7) by 3-4 turns.

4 Depending on the length, lay the log such that

the wooden log is held by the log guide tubes.

OPERATION

CAUTION!

Only the operator is allowed to remain

within the operating area during opera-

tion! (13)

1 With one hand, press the switch on button of

the electric motor (8a) and hold it pressed.

2 After the motor has attained its end speed,

press the operating lever with the other hand

(8b) fully downwards. The log pusher will

press the log against the splitting wedge. The

log will be split.

3 By releasing the switch-on button and the

operating lever, the log pusher moves back

into its end position.

Remove a jammed log (9)

CAUTION!

Never use a hammer to drive out the

piece of wood.

When the piece of wood springs out, it

might injure people and damage the ma-

chine.

1 Remove both your hands from the switch-on

button and operating lever

2 Letting log pusher grind to a halt

3 Push the wood wedge under the jammed

piece of wood (9)

4 Use the log pusher to push the wood wedge

all the way under the jammed piece of wood

5 Repeat with a larger wedge if necessary until

the piece of wood is released
