Proof of c ompliance with international standar ds (ICNIRP) or with European
D

be put on the market. The protection of the health and safety for the user and any
other person is an essential requirement of these standards or this dir ective.
THIS MOBILE PHONE COMPLIES WITH INTERNA TIONAL AND EUR OPEAN
REQUIREMENTS REGARDING EXPOSURE TO RADIO W A VES.
Y
our mobile phone is a radio transmitter/receiver . It was designed and manufactured
to comply with the radiofrequency (RF) exposure thresholds recommended by
international requirements (ICNIRP)

The se l imit s a re pa rt of a se t of requirem ents and es tab lish autho rise d
r
adiofrequency levels for the public. These limits were established by independent
groups of experts on the basis of regular and detailed scientific assessments. They
include a significant safety margin intended to ensure the safety of all, r egardless of
age or state of health.
The exposure standard f or mobile phones is determined by a measur ement unit
k
nown as the Specific Absorption Rate or “SAR”. The SAR limit is set b y international
requirements or b y the Council of the Eur opean Union at 2 watts/kilogram (W/kg)
av eraged ov er 10 grams of body tissue. The tests used to determine SAR le vels were
carried out on the basis of standard usage modes with the phones transmitting at
their maximum po wer level o ver the entir e range of fr equency bands.
Although the SAR was established at the highest certified le vel, the actual SAR le vel
for the mobile phone during use is generall y much low er than the maximum v alues.
In fact, since mobile phones are designed to operate at many diff erent pow er levels,
t
hey only use the minim um level of pow er required to pr ovide a connection to the
network. In theory , the closer you are to a base station antenna, the lower the power
level r equired by the mobile phone.
My mobile phone has a low level of autonomy
• Make sure y ou r espected the complete charge timing (minimum 3
hours)
• After a partial charge , the batter y level indicator may not be exact.
W ait for at least 20 min utes after removing the charger to obtain an
exact indication
My mobile phone will not charge properly
• Make sur e that your batter y is not completely discharged; the
battery charge indicator can take several minutes and ma y be
accompanied by a quiet whistling sound
• Make sure charging is carried out under normal conditions (0°C
+40°C)
• Make sure your battery is inserted. It must be inserted befor e
plugging in the charger
• Make sure you are using an Alcatel battery and charger
• When abroad, check that the electrical current is compatible
My mobile phone will not connect to a network
• T ry connecting in another location
• V erify the network coverage with your operator
• Check with your operator that your SIM card is valid
• T ry selecting the a vailable network(s) manually
• T ry connecting at a later time if the network is overloaded
SIM card error
• Make sure the SIM card has been correctly inser ted
• V erify with your operator that your SIM card is 3V compatible; the
old 5V SIM cards cannot be used
• Make sure the chip on your SIM card is not damaged or scratched
Unable to make outgoing calls
• Make sure you ha ve dialled a valid number and press the key
• For international calls, che ck the country and area codes
• Make sure your mobile phone is connected to a network, and that
the network is not overloaded or unavailable
• Check your subscription status w ith your operator (cr edit, SIM card
valid, etc .)
• Make sure you hav e not barred outgoing calls
The highest tested SAR value for this mobile phone for use at the ear and
c
ompliance against the standard is 0.9 W/kg. While there ma y be differ ences betw een
the SAR levels on various phones and at various positions, they all meet the relevant
International guidelines and E U requirements f or RF (radio-wav es) exposure.

information does not indicate the need for any special precautions for use of mobile
phones. If individuals are concerned, the y might choose to limit their own or their
children’ s RF exposure by limiting the length of calls, or using “hands-free” devices to
