CAPACITANCE (TM-56 only).
Short the leads of the capacitor to be tested to insure that there is no
charge left on the capacitor
.
1. Set the rotary switch to one of the capacitance (F) positions.
2. Insert the capacitor leads into the capacitor test sockets.
3. Read the capacitance value on the display.
Capacitors are tested with an AC voltage of 40mVrms / 400Hz.
FREQUENCY (TM-56 only).
1. Connect the red test lead to the V/
Ω
/Hz input jack and the black test lead to the COM
jack.
2. Set the rotary switch into position 20KHz.
3. Connect the test leads to the device or circuit being measured and read the
frequency.
The input sensitivity is 100mV. The max input level for an accurate reading is 30Vp-p.
TEMPERATURE (TM-56 only).
1. Connect the temperature probe to the TEMP jack
2. Set the rotary switch to position °C
3. Read the temperature on the display in °C
The unit is °C, the range is -20°C to +1000°C, wait until the readout is stable.
