Warning
MAKE THE CORRECT CONNECTIONS.
Failure to make the proper connections may result in fire or product
damage.
USE ONL Y IN CARS WITH A 12 VOL T NEGA TIVE GROUND.
(Check with your dealer if you are not sure. ) Failure to do so may
result in fire, etc.
BEFORE WIRING, DISCONNECT THE CABLE FROM THE
NEGA TIVE BA TTERY TERMINAL.
Failure to do so may result in electric shock or injury due to
electrical shorts.
DO NOT ALLOW CABLES TO BECOME ENTANGLED IN
SURROUNDING OBJECTS.
Arrange wiring and cabl e s in compliance with t h e manual to
prevent obstructions when driving. Cables or wiring that obstruct or
hang up on places su ch as the steering wheel, shift l ever, brake
pedals, etc. can be extremely hazardous.
DO NOT SPLICE INTO ELECTRICAL CABLES.
Never cut away cable insulation to supply power to ot her
equipment. Doing so will exceed the current carrying capacit y of
the wire and result in fi re or electric shock.
DO NOT DAMAGE PIPE O R WIRING WHEN DRILLIN G HOLES.
When drilling holes in the chassis for installation, take precautions
so as not to contact, dam a ge or obstruct pipes, fu el lines, tanks or
electrical wiring. Failure to take such precautions may result in fire.
DO NOT USE BOL TS OR NUTS IN THE BRAKE OR STEERING
SYSTEMS TO MAKE GROUND CONNECTIONS.
Bolts or nuts used for the brak e or steering systems (o r any other
safety-related system), or tanks should N E VER be used for
installations or ground connections. Using s uch parts could disabl e
control of the vehicle and cause fire etc.
KEEP SMALL OBJECTS SUCH AS BATTERIES OUT OF THE
REACH OF CHILDREN.
Swallowing them may result in serious injury. If swallo wed,
consult a physician im med iately .
DO NOT INST ALL IN LOCA TIONS WHICH MIGHT HINDER
VEHICLE OPERA TION, SUCH AS THE STEERING WHEEL OR
SHIF T LEVER.
Doing so may obst r uct forward vision or ham pe r mov ement etc.
and results in serious acci dent .
Caution
HAVE THE WIRING AND INSTALLA TION DONE BY EXPERTS.
The wiring and instal lati on of this unit requires speci al technical
skill and experience. T o ensure sa fety, always contact the dealer
where you purchased thi s product to have the work done.
USE SPECIFIED ACCESSORY PAR TS AND INST ALL THEM
SECUREL Y .
Be sure to use only the specified accessory parts. Use of other than
designated parts may d a mage this unit internal ly or may not
securely install the unit in place. This may cause parts to become
loose resulting in hazards or p roduct failure.
ARRANGE THE WIRING SO IT IS NOT CRIMPED OR
PINCHED BY A SHARP MET AL EDGE.
Route the cables and w i ring away from moving parts (like the seat
rails) or sharp or poi nted edges. This will prevent crimping and
damage to the wiring. If wiring passes through a h ole in metal, use
a rubber gromm et to prevent th e wire’s insulation from being cut b y
the metal edge of th e hole.
DO NOT INST ALL IN LOCA TIONS WITH HIGH MOISTURE OR
DUST .
A void install i ng the unit in locations wi th high incidence of
moisture or dust. Moisture or dust that penetrates into this unit may
result in product failur e.
