4 Inial start-up

Please remove the kele and the baseplate from the packing and clean the unit

with a damp cloth. Aerwards connect the kele only to a properly installed

grounded socket. Before regular use, ll the water reservoir with cold water to its

maximum level and boil according the following instrucons. Thereaer discard

the water in order to remove any residues of the producon process.

5 Handling

Open the lid by holding the lever and turning it counter clockwise (OPEN). Fill the

kele with cold water and place the lid back on the fastening. Turn the lid clockwise

(LOCK) unl the kele is locked securely. To pour out water you have to press the

lever down. The water kele is not fully waterght. Please keep this in mind when

transporng it. Make sure it is in an upright posion when you are transporng it.

Note: Inside the kele there is a mark for the maximum lling, which can be seen

when the lid is removed. Please do not ll it with more water than recommended

because hot water can spill out. Place the kele on the base plate and push the on

/ o switch. The switch has two separate pressure points you can use to turn it on

or o. Aer acvang the switch the kele will boil the water. It will automacally

turn itself o when the water has reached the target temperature.

6 Decaling and cleaning

We recommend decalcifying the kele in regular intervals, depending on the in-

tensity of use. Before cleaning, it is essenal to remove the power plug from the

socket and wait unl the device is completely cooled down. The scale lter is locat-

ed prior to the spout. To remove the lter, open the cover and push the plasc ap

downwards. Then deep clean the taken lter with warm water and insert it into

the holder again. When inserng the lter, take care that the retaining lug is xed

to the guide rail. Only use convenonal decaling agents based on citric acid. Please

follow the manufacturer´s instrucons for dosing the respecve product you have

chosen. The heang element must not be cleaned and never be processed with

sharp or hard objects. For cleaning the outer surface of the kele, only use a damp

cloth. Never use hard or abrasive objects like a wire brush or a steel-sponge for

cleaning. Please do not use any aggressive cleaning agents which could be harmful

for human consumpon or damage the surface.
