5. Press the link button between the + and - button to link the cooking
timer to the desired cooking zone.
The cooking zone at front left is now linked and the display changes
intensity.
Pressing the link button again will link the cooking zone at back left.
The linking sequence is:
– cooking timer, the clock is not linked to a cooking zone but can
be used as a separate timer;
– linked to front left;
– linked to back left;
– linked to back right;
– linked to front right;
– timer;
– linked to front left;
– etc.
If a zone has not been switched on, the 0 or the residual heat indication
“H” will still vary in light intensity to indicate that you have linked that
cooking zone.
A flashing dot indicates that the timer has been activated. The time will
start to run and the remaining time is visible in the display.
At the end of the set time you will hear a beep.
The cooking zone switches off.
Press the - button on the clock to switch the beep off.
Press the + button on the clock to set a new cooking time.

The other cooking zones cannot be switched off by the cooking timer. In
that case the cooking timer merely gives an audible signal at the end of
the set time (for example for use when boiling eggs).
Switch the cooking timer off by pressing the - button for a few seconds
(in the '0' minute setting).
Cooking timer / switch-off timer (HL60..M and HL70..M)
You can have all cooking zones switched off by the cooking timer.
You then use the cooking timer as a switch-off timer.
1. Place a pan on the desired cooking zone.
2. Press the on/off button.
3. Set the power level required.
4. Set the timer.
Using the - and + buttons you can set a cooking time of up to a
maximum of 4 hours. The selected number of minutes will be indicated
in the display. In the case of times longer than 59 minutes the number of
hours and minutes will be shown alternately in the display. If you hold
the + or - button in longer, the value will increase or decrease more
quickly. If you release the button briefly and press it again, the value will
change slowly again. The cooking timer will now not yet operate as a
switch-off timer as the cooking timer has not yet been linked to a
cooking zone.
