5POSITIONING THE CHILD
The child seat headres t will need to be adjust ed from
me to me as the child grows. Child’ s shoulder s should be just
under the shoulder belt guide① .
Mak e sure that the shoulder belts of the harness
are remov ed and other parts of the harness ar e properly st ored,
according to the ins trucons in Secon 7.
2. Press the red buon on the
5-point harness buckle ③ to
unbuckle it.
5. Pull the 5-point harness adjuster
⑦ unl the harness firmly secures
your child.
6. Finally pull both chest pads
down fully .
1. Posion the vehicle's 3-point belt
in front of the child and lock the belt
into the buckle of the v ehicle with a
click. Make sure that the 3-point belt
is not twist ed.
3.Opera te and hold headres t
adjustment handle ⑬ on the back
of the headrest, which unlock s the
headrest.
4.While holding the headres t adjustment
handle ⑬, move the unlock ed
headrest t o the desired height.
Release the handle to lock the headres t.

1 . Uninst all the child seat from your
vehicle. See instrucons in Secon 6.
2 . Pre ss the red buon on the
harness buckle ③ and open the
harness.
3 . Adjust the headr est to the highes t
posion where the chest pad link age
stops the headrest fr om going further up.
5 . Unlock and separ ate the ches t pad
buckle .
6 . Fr om the fron t of the seat, pull the
shoulder harness and the chest
pad ② linkag e together out fr om the
child seat backres t slots.
9 . Open and hold the buckle st orag e
cover under the sea t cover . Push
the buckle through the slot in co ver
and put it in the buckle stor age. Then
close the stor age c over .
10. Place the crot ch pad below the
seat cover . Now the harness is removed.
Y ou can restore the sea t cover .

1. Detach the T op T ether from your vehicle.
2. Pull the ISOFIX release lever s on both sides to r elease the
ISOFIX connector s. Y ou can now remove the child seat.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Y ou may want to remove and wash the cover from me to
me. Please do so with mild detergent in the delicates
progr amme of the washing machine (30⁰C). Please refer
to the washing label of the cover . The plasc parts can be
cleaned with a mild soap and water .
The child seat must not be used without the
AV OVA seat cov er or young child insert if requir ed f or the
child's age (< 2 years). The cover is a safe ty featur e and
may only be replaced by an original A VO V A cover .
For a younger child (< 2 years) using the Sperling-Fix
i-Size he/she must use the young child insert. The insert
is pre-fied to your child seat and is also available as
spare parts from A VOV A retailers.
From the age of 2 years onwar ds it is allowed to remove
the young child insert. The cov er of the headres t
cont ains an addional shock-ab sorbing foam on both
sides. This foam must be used unl the child is 4 years
old. From the age of 4 year s onwards it is allowed to
remov e this foam from the headrest cover .
Please re fit the cove r in the rev erse order .

2 . Pull out the trim of the headres t cov er
from the plasc part. Then release the
loops behind the headres t cover .

usage of the product should be in acc ordance with this
user manual. Any damage caused by operaons against
the instrucons in this user manual will void the
warr anty .

There are 9 posions in total for the headr est .
Y ou may use the 4 lowest posions in the 5-point harness ⑪
mode. If the headrest is in its highest posion with 5-point
harness and you can no longer accommodate your child’ s
shoulders, it means you should use your vehicle 's 3-poin t belt
instead. Remov e the 5-point harness accor ding t o the instruc-
ons in Secon 7. Then the headrest can be moved into 5
addional higher posions.

4. Pull both shoulder harness
to ghten the lap harness .
Please check that the lap
str ap is worn low down so that the child's
pelvis is firmly engaged.

engag e the buckle tongues
together . Click the eng aged tongues
into the buckle body .

slot behind cover , then hide the
shoulder harness and shoulder pad
behind the cover .

4 . Open the user manual compart-
ment ⑮ at the back of the child sea t.
Hold the connecng piece and
remov e the shoulder harness from
it care fully . It may give y ou some
conv enience if you loosen the 5-point
harness adjuster a bit. Please don’t
drop the connecng piece and place it
in the pre-alloca ted space and then
ghten up the 5-point harness
adjuster .

1. The child seat is corr ectly secured. The lap belt runs in the lap
belt guide ④ on both sides of the seat cushion ⑩ .
2. The shoulder belt runs in the lap belt guide ④ on the side of
vehicle’ s 3-point belt buckle and the shoulder belt guide ① on the
other side of the headrest .

3. The vehicle’ s 3-point belt is ght and not twisted. The 3-point
belt buckle must not be posioned in the lap belt guide ④ .

5 . Fir st pull the shoulder belt part that
crosses the body of the child to r emove
the slack from lap secon. Then pull the
shoulder belt part above the child seat
to remo ve the remaining slack.

If the shoulder belt guide ① is concealed by the
backrest , adjus t the headres t upwards t o allow the
shoulder belt secon can be insert ed easily into the
shoulder belt guide and then adjust the headre st back to the
correct heigh t.

4. Route the shoulder belt into
the red shoulder belt guide ① of
the headrest unl it lies complet ely
in the shoulder belt guide and lock
key is closed and shoulder belt
secon is not twisted.

3. Place the lap belt secon on
the other side of the seat cushion
into the r ed lap belt guide ④ .
The lap belt secon
must lie as low as possible over the
child’ s pelvis on both sides to
provide the best pr otecon.

DISPOSAL

at the fron t of the seat on both sides.
