B. Preparing you skin
Before you begin, make sure your
skin is perfectly clean and dry. Do
not apply moisturising cream or
milk. Possibly scrubbing the area
to be shaved before beginning will
remove dead cells from your skin
and straighten the hair.
1. Shaving your legs
Attach the shaver head to the
BaByliss Ladyliss. Turn the appli-
ance on by pressing the unlock
button in the middle of the switch
and sliding the switch up (position
1). Hold the Ladyliss at an angle of
90 degrees from the area to be
shaved. Always work with both
hands: gently pull you skin with
one hand while holding the shaver
with your other hand. Slowly move
the Ladyliss while pressing down
lightly. Careful not to press the
appliance too hard against your
skin, it might slow down and be
less effective.
2. Shaving sensitive areas
If your hair is long (more than 1
cm), we recommend trimming it
using the trimming head before
using the shaving head.
To shave your underarms, move
the Ladyliss using an upward
movement, then a second time
using a downward movement.
To shave the bikini area, gently pull
the skin tight and move the appli-
ance from the outside in.
3. To trim long hair
The BaByliss Ladyliss has five
cutting guides ranging from 3 mm
to 15 mm. The trimming head lets
you trim longer hair and/or
maintain a certain length. Begin
with the longest cutting guide; it is
important to get used to using the
cutting guides. You may want to
repeat the operation with a shorter
cutting guide.
Turn the appliance on by pressing
the unlock button in the middle of
the switch and sliding it up
(position 1).
Hold the appliance against your
skin at a slight angle and move
slowly against the direction of hair
growth.
For perfect results on curves, use
the shaving head (see 1. Shaving
your legs and 2. Shaving sensitive
areas).
Careful: Do not apply perfumes or
deodorants on the shaved area for
24 hours after shaving.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The BaByliss Ladyliss was
designed for perfect hygiene: its
heads are removable for easy
cleaning. Ensure that the appliance
has been turned off before
changing the heads. To remove a
head, press down on the back part
of the head with your thumbs. To
replace it, hold the sides of the
head and press down until you
hear a 'click'.
To remove the blade, push it up
with your thumb. Then run the little
brush over the blade and cutting
guides.
Repeat these steps for the shaving
head.
IMPORTANT
Do not shave near open wounds,
cuts, burns, warts, moles, sunburnt
skin or varicose veins. Do not use if
you are suffering from a skin
irritation or skin infections like
