Set up your BeoLab20 speakers wirelessly or
with cables. Ensure that the speakers are
positioned, set up and connected in accordance
with the instructions in this guide. You may also
contact your retailer regarding installation.

To unpack the speakers, lift them out of
the packaging by supporting the lens and
holding above the socket area as illustrated. Do
not touch the sockets since this may damage
them.
The connection covers are placed in the
packaging.

To lift the speaker, grip at the top and
bottom of the aluminium back part as
illustrated. Do not lift the speaker by the speaker
cover.

Make sure the frame support is left on
during installation to protect the speaker
cover.

To connect cables, unscrew the wire clamp
first.

Set up your audio/video product wirelessly
with a pair of BeoLab20 speakers or make
a wireless surround sound system. See the guide
enclosed with your wireless transmitter, for
example BeoLab Transmitter1, for information
about how to connect the wireless transmitter,
your audio/video product and your speakers.
RESET: Press and hold the button for two
seconds to reset the wireless setting of a wireless
speaker. The role switch must be set to
WIRELESS. The status indicator is solid red for 2
seconds, then it flashes green quickly. The
speaker is now in associate mode and ready to
be connected to the wireless transmitter. If you
press and hold the button for 10 seconds, the
speaker is reset to factory settings.

Examples of connections. If you choose a
cabled setup, you can use Power Link,
Toslink
TM
or line cables for connection between
your speakers and your audio/video product. If
you use Toslink cables, you must make a daisy
chain setup as illustrated. This is also possible
with Power Link cables. Be aware that Toslink
cables should not be bent more than a radius of
30mm, since this can cause disturbances in the
sound performance.
Note that all connected sources must be volume
regulated.
The socket marked SERVICE is for service use
only.

Set the position switch (POS.) according to
whether your speaker is placed close to a
wall, a corner or in a free standing position. The
wall position is measured 20 cm from the closest
edge of the speaker to the wall.

If you have a wired setup, set the role
switch (ROLE) according to whether your
speaker is placed to the left (LEFT) or the right
(RIGHT) of your listening position. If you have a
wireless setup, always set the role switch to
wireless (WIRELESS).

Screw the wire clamp on again and mount
the connection cover. Remove the frame
support when the speaker is positioned correctly.

Product status and wireless indicator:
The Bang& Olufsen logo lights up for 10 seconds
when the speaker starts playing and then it dims.
The logo light is switched o with the speaker.
– Red (solid): The wireless indicator is solid red
for 10 seconds when the speaker is connected
to the mains or when it restarts after it has been
reset.
– Green(ashing): A software update is in
progress, during which the speaker cannot play.
Do not disconnect from the mains.
– Green(ashingquickly): If you have a
wireless transmitter in your setup, the speaker is
in associate mode and ready to be connected to
the wireless transmitter.
– Orange(ashingslowly): The product is
overheated and will shut down temporarily.
– Orange(ashingquickly): An error has
occurred. Disconnect the speaker from the
mains and reconnect it again. If the problem
persists, contact your Bang & Olufsen retailer.
Cleaning
Clean dusty surfaces using a dry, soft cloth. If
necessary, remove grease stains or persistent
dirt with soft, lint-free cloth which you have
dipped in lukewarm water and wrung firmly.
Never use a vacuum cleaner to clean the acoustic
lens. However, the speaker cover may be cleaned
with a vacuum cleaner with a brush nozzle, and
set to the lowest suction level.
Never use alcohol or other solvents to clean any
part of the speaker!

Suche zurücksetzen

  • Ich habe meine 2 Beolab 20 an die zuvor mit Beolab 6000 verbundenen PowerLink-Kabel (weiß, dünn, 8-polig) angeschlossen (mit Original-Adapter zu RJ45), jetzt Brummen die Beolab 20, was sie bisher bei Anschluss mit PowerLink-Kabel 8-polig auf RJ45 nicht taten. Was ist die Ursache und wie kann ich das Brummen beheben?

  • BEOLAB 20 - Lautsprecher (Installation ohne Kabel) fallen in unregelmäßigen Abständen aus. Die Beleuchtung des Logo erlischt jeweils. Kann dies an der Bluetooth-Verbindung liegen?
