FILLING THE SAL T RESERVOIR
The use of salt preven ts the formation of LIMESCALE on the dishes and on
the machine’ s functional components.
The salt reser voi r is located in the lower part of the dishwasher (under the
lower rack on the left side).
• It is mandatory that the salt reservoir never be empty .
• It is important to set the water hardness .
• Salt must be lled when the SAL T REFILL indicator light on the control
panel is lit. 1. Remove the lower r ack and unscrew the reservoir cap
(anticlockwise).
2. Position the funnel (see gure) and ll the salt r eser voir
right up to its edge (appro ximately 0,5 kg); it is not un-
usual for a little water t o leak out.
3. Only the rst time you do this: ll the salt reservoir
with water .
4. Remove the funnel and wipe any salt residue a way from the opening .
Make sure the cap is screwed on tigh tly so that no detergent can get into
the container during the wash progr am (this could damage the water
softener beyond repair).
Run a program ev ery time as soon as you completed relling the salt
reservoir to av oid corrosion.
Setting the water hardness
T o allow the water softener to w ork in a per fect way , it is essential that the
water hardness setting is based on the actual water har dness in your house.
This information can be obtained fr om your local water supplier . The facto-
ry setting is “3 ”. See „ W A TER HARDNESS T ABLE”.
T o change, follo w instructions in sec tion “SE TTING MENU” .
Only use salt that has been specically designed for dishw ashers.
After the salt has been poured into the machine , the SAL T REFILL indicator
light switches o .
If the salt container is not lled, the w ater softener and the heating
element may be damaged as a result of limescale ac cumulation.
Use of salt is rec ommended with any type of dishw asher detergent.
W A TER SOFTENING SY STEM
W ater softener automatically reduces w ater hardness, c onsequently preventing
scale buildup on the heater , contributing also to better cleaning eciency .
This sy stem regenerates itself with salt , therefore it is requir ed to rell
the salt container when empty . The frequency of regeneration depends
on the water hardness lev el setting - regeneration takes place once per 4-6
Eco cycles with the water hardness lev el set to 3 . The regeneration process
occurs at the beginning of the cycle with additional fresh wat er .
• Single r egeneration consumes: ~3L of water;
• T akes up to 5 additional minutes for the cycle;
• C onsumes below 0.005kWh of energy .

lled when the RINSE AID REFILL indicator light in the control panel is lit.

ml), making sure it does not

NEVER pour the rinse aid directly into the appliance tub .
Adjusting the dosage of rinse aid
If you are not completely satised with the drying results, y ou can adjust
the quantity of rinse aid used.
T o change, follo w instructions in the sec tion “SE TTING MENU” .
If the rinse aid level is set to ZERO , no rinse aid will be supplied. The LOW
RINSE AID indicator light will not be lit if you run out of rinse aid .
A maximum of 6 levels can be set acc ording to the dishwasher model .
• If you see bluish streaks on the dishes, set a lo w number (0-3).
• If there are drops of wa ter or limescale marks on the dishes, set
a mid-range number (4-5).
FILLING THE DE TERGENT DISPENSER
T o open the detergent dispenser use the opening device C. Introduce
the detergent int o the dr y dispenser D only . Place the amount of
detergent f or pre -washing directly inside the tub .
