INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• To prevent the risk of children becoming trapped and
suffocating, do not allow them to play with the
appliance.
• Do not swallow the contents (non-toxic) of the ice
packs (in some models).
• Do not eat ice cubes or ice lollies immediately after
taking them out of the freezer, since they could cause
cold burns.
Use
• Before carrying out any maintenance operation or
cleaning, always unplug the appliance or disconnect the
power supply.
• Do not store glass containers with liquids in the
freezer, as they could burst.
• Limit the number of times the appliance door is
opened.
The Manufacturer declines any liability if the above
advice and precautions are not respected.
APPLIANCE DEFROSTING
It is advisable to carry out defrosting when the frost on
the walls is 5-6 mm thick.
• Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
• Remove food from the
appliance, wrap it in newspaper
and put it in a very cool place
or a thermally insulated bag.
• Leave the appliance door open.
• Remove the inside drain plug
(if provided).
• Remove the outside drain plug
(if provided) and position it as
shown in the figure.
• Place a bowl under the drain to collect the residual
water. Use the separator if provided.
• Defrosting can be speeded up by using a spatula to
detach the frost from the appliance walls.
• Remove the frost from the bottom of the appliance.
• To avoid permanent damage to the
compartment, do not use pointed or sharp
metal implements to remove the frost.
• Do not use abrasive products or artificially heat
the compartment.
• Dry the inside of the appliance thoroughly.
• Refit the plug after defrosting.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Remove the frost from the upper edges (see
Troubleshooting Guide).
• After defrosting, clean the inside using a sponge
moistened with lukewarm water and/or neutral
detergent.
• Clean the side vent (if provided).
• Remove dust from the condenser on the back of the
appliance.
Unplug the appliance before carrying out
maintenance operations. Do not use abrasive
pastes, scouring pads or stain removers (e.g.
acetone, trichloroethylene) to clean the appliance.
To ensure optimum appliance operation, make sure
to carry out cleaning and maintenance operations
at least once a year.
REPLACING THE DOOR LIGHT BULB
• Unplug the appliance.
• Remove the diffuser by following the sequence of steps shown in the figure.
• Unscrew the bulb and replace it with a new one of the same wattage and voltage
• Refit the diffuser and plug in the appliance.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1. The red LED blinks.
• Make sure the door is closed or that it has not been
left open for a long time.
• Make sure no fresh food has been recently placed in
the freezer.
• Make sure fresh food is properly arranged (see section
"Freezing food").
• Make sure the appliance is not positioned near a heat
source.
• Make sure the vent and condenser are clean.
2. The acoustic alarm is activated.
• See the section "User instructions", par. "Alarms".
3. The display is off, the inside light does not switch
on and the compressor is not working (appliance
warm).
• Check for a power failure.
• Make sure the appliance plug is correctly inserted in
the power socket.
• Unplug the appliance and check the integrity of the
power cable.
4. The display is off, the inside light switches on and
the compressor runs continuously.
