Preheating function
You should select this oven function for quicker heating of the oven
cavity before placing food in the oven and cooking.
o A moving symbol will appear on the temperature display.
o The grill, lower element and fan are switched on and a
temperature of 210°C is selected by the oven. IMPORTANT:
This temperature cannot be changed and is preset.
o When 210°C is reached, the oven will beep. The light symbol will
come on and the oven light will turn on.
o You can then choose the oven function that you require by using
the oven function selector buttons.
Safety lock
This feature prevents any of the timer, cooking or temperature
selections from being tampered with.
o To activate the safety lock, press and hold the ON/OFF button for
approximately 5 seconds. A n—0 symbol will appear on the
timer display, followed by the word ON.
o It will then not be possible to select a timer operation or oven
function. However it is still possible to use the minute minder.
o If the safety lock is activated whilst an oven function is in
progress, then you will only be able to set the minute minder or
turn the oven off by using the ON/OFF button.
o If any other key is pressed, the n—0 symbol will appear on the
timer display, to remind the person that the safety lock is
activated.
o IMPORTANT: If you switch the oven off whilst the safety lock is
engaged, you will not be able to switch the oven back on until
you disable the safety lock.
o To disable the safety lock, press and hold the ON/OFF button for
approximately 5 seconds. An n—0 symbol will appear on the
timer display, followed by the word OFF. You can then operate
the oven normally.
