Adding the Coffee Beans
The maximum capacity of the coffee bean compartment is 75 g. Take care not to overfi ll the
coffee bean compartment (13)!
1. Open the lid of the coffee bean compartment (1).
2. Fill the coffee bean compartment with coffee beans. Do not overfi ll it!
3. Close the lid of the coffee bean compartment. You must hear and feel it engage.
Inserting the Filter (Fig. A)
1. Open the fi lter compartment (12) to the left.
2. Insert the fi lter holder (17) into the fi lter compartment.
3. Insert the permanent fi lter (16) or a basket fi lter paper into the fi lter holder.
4. Place the lid (15) on the fi lter holder.
Make sure the lid is in the correct position.
5. Flip the fi lter compartment shut. You should feel and hear it click into place.
Basket fi lter papers are available via our website www.beem.de or from our customer service
department on request.
Setting the Brewing Option
Keep pressing the BRÜH-OPTIONEN (brewing options) (20) button until the option you
want is shown on the display (4).
REGULÄR (regular) standard brewing programme
1 – 4 TASSEN (1 – 4 cups) brewing programme with optimised fl ow time for max. 4 cups
AROMA-PLUS brewing programme with optimised fl ow time for coffee with
stronger aroma
REINIGUNG (cleaning) descaling programme
The selected option is saved until a new option is set or the device has been disconnected
from the power supply.
Drip Stop
The device has a drip stop which prevents water from dripping out of the fi lter compartment(12)
when the jug (10) has been removed from the device.
When the device is in operation, the fi lter compartment must be closed and the thermal jug
with a lid placed on it must be placed beneath the fi lter compartment. The lid of the thermal jug
pushes the drip stop upwards and the coffee can fl ow from the permanent fi lter (16) through
the lid into the glass jug.
During the brewing process, the jug must not be removed from the device for longer
than 30 seconds as otherwise the permanent fi lter could overfl ow.
