☞Take hold of the filter at the handles.

☞Lift the filter at least 30 cm.

☞Remove the filter to the front.

☞Place the filter in a bucket or a similar container.

☞Unscrew the screws on the top of the filter.

☞Remove the cover.

☞Empty the filter completely.

☞Fill the filter with new charcoal up to the maximum level.

☞Screw the cover back on to the top of the filter.

☞Clean the filter from the outside (e.g. through extraction

with a vacuum cleaner).

☞Take hold of the filter at the handles.

☞Carefully insert the filter again.

☞Place the cover on the device.

☞Re-establish the voltage supply.

6.3 Fault rectification

Possible faults are described below:

☞Remedy.

Fan and lighting do not work.

yNo power supply.

☞Check that the all-pole mains switch is connected.

☞Switch the mains switch on.

yThe breaker may have been tripped or is defective.

☞Check to see if the breaker has tripped.

☞If you use electric circuit breakers, turn the circuit

breaker on again.

☞For other types of fuse, consult a qualified electrician.

The fan does not work.

yThe device is not switched on.

☞Check all power levels.

yThe device is connected to a window contact switch and

the window is closed.

☞Open the window.

yThe device is connected to a safety device. The safety

device detects a critical under-pressure.

☞Open a window.

☞Wait until the air pressure returns to normal.

The lighting does not work.

yThe device software requires a restart.

☞Interrupt the power supply for approx. 10 seconds.

yThe lamp has blown.

☞Please consult your dealer or customer services.

Smells occur during operation.

yThe filter filling is used up.

☞Change the filter filling.

Poor device performance.

yThe recirculated air filter is clogged.

the ceiling.

ySmoke development by heating cooking oils and cooking

fats to too high a temperature.

☞Note the smoke point of the cooking oil or fat you

are using. You can obtain this information from the

respective manufacturer.
