Diameter of exhaust pipe connection: 120 mm
Attach reduction directly on the air flange. Attach exhaust pipes on the reduction flange. Appropriately seal both
connections.
Instructions for recirculating air mode
You can use this hood in recirculating mode directly without using additional parts.
We only recommend using activated carbon filters to reduce odors.
IMPORTANT: Using an activated carbon filter integrates additional resistance into the air path, therefore reducing
the airflow volume and the flow velocity.
In order to give the odor molecules sufficient time to embed themselves into the activated carbon, it is important
to ensure that the airflow velocity of the vapor is not excessively high. Running the unit at level 1-2 is therefore
more effective than at level 3 for odor filtration in recirculating air mode.
Only a minor portion of the moisture created during cooking is absorbed by the grease and odor filter. It is then
important particularly in recirculating air mode to ventilate the kitchen area with a wide open window after
cooking. Ventilation prevents excess moisture generated while cooking from remaining in the room, resulting
in mold growth.
Bielmeier offers special optional recirculation air kits for many models. If available, these kits can be ordered as
accessories directly from Bielmeier. The recirculation air kit provides optimized airflow in the chimney and prevents
mold growth and dirt buildup behind the chimney and on the ceiling above the chimney. If interested, please
contact Bielmeier to find out if a recirculation air kit is available for your model.
Electrical connection
Before making the electrical connection, it is essential that you review and observe the warnings in the „Safety
Instruction“ section. The extractor hood must only be connected by a qualified electrician who is familiar with
the regulations of the competent electrical utility.
RISK OF INJURY
If the connecting line of the extractor hood is damaged it will need to be replaced by a trained technician
inorder to avoid hazards. The extractor hood must only be connected to a properly installed, grounded wall
plug. Whenever possible, the grounded wall plug should be installed directly behind the chimney enclosure.
The grounded wall plug should be connected to a dedicated electrical circuit. A disconnect device equivalent
to a hard-wired connection must be used if the grounded wall plug is no longer accessible after installing the
extractor hood.
If a hard-wired connection is required
A disconnect device must be installed. Disconnect devices must be switches with a contact opening of more
than 3 mm and all-pole disconnect. These include LS switches, fuses, and circuit breakers.
This extractor hood meets EU radio interference regulations.
The extractor hood is designed for a wall-mounted installation. You will also need to account for any special
accessories to be installed during the installation. Please note the minimum spacing between the burner and
the extractor hood (see „Safety Instructions“)!
EQUIPMENT CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Risk of injury
The extractor hood needs to be disconnected from power by pulling the power plug or by disabling the breaker
prior to each cleaning and service.
Cleaning equipment surfaces
NOTE: The stainless steel and glass surfaces of the equipment and the operator controls are prone to scratching.
You should therefore be sure to note the following cleaning instructions:
Never clean the hood with dry cloths, abrasive sponges, abrasive agents such as cleaning agents that contain
sand, soda, chloride or other aggressive chemicals.
Use a soft, moist cloth, a household cleaning agent or a very mild window cleaner to clean the equipment
surfaces and operator controls.
Do not scrape off dried-on dirt; instead, allow it to soak and then wipe off with a moist cloth.
Ensure that no moisture is allowed to enter the electronics when cleaning the operator controls. Clean to no
more than a fine moisture film.
NOTE: Only wipe down stainless steel surfaces in the direction of the finish grain. Do not use stainless steel clea-
ners for operator controls! Cleaning and care agents suited for stainless steel and glass surfaces can be obtained
from your household supplies dealer.
Metal grease filters
The included metal grease filters absorb the grease content in kitchen fumes. These filters are made from
non-combustible metals, generally aluminum.
FIRE HAZARD
As more grease is collected in the filters, the risk increases that this grease can ignite. A contaminated filter also
restricts the function of the extractor hood. Cleaning the metal filters regularly and proactively will minimize
the fire risk. While cleaning the grease filters, also remember to remove any grease film from accessible housing
components with a moist cloth.
Cleaning the metal grease filters
In standard household operating conditions (1 to 2 hours daily), it is sufficient to clean the metal grease filters
once per month.
Removing and inserting the metal grease filters
Disengage the lock and allow the grease filters to fold down, while supporting the bottom of the grease filters
with the other hand.
Cleaning in the dishwasher
The metal filters in your hood are dishwasher-safe (55 °Celsius). This may result in minor discoloration of the metal.
This has no impact on the function of the grease filters and does not represent a quality defect. Position the filters
loosely into the dishwasher without bending them.
NOTE: Do not clean heavily contaminated metal filters together with other dishes.
