5. Cleaning and Care
Danger: Do not open any part of the
housing. There are no operating elements
inside. An open housing can create the
risk of a life-threatening electrical shock.
Never submerse any parts of the device
in water or other liquids! There could be
potential hazard of life-threatening electric
shock, if moisture enters the voltage con-
ducting parts upon operating the appliance
again.
Before you clean the kettle, ....
• Pull the power plug out of the socket and
first let the kettle cool down completely.
• Clean all outer surfaces and the power
cord with a slightly damp piece of cloth.
In any case, dry the kettle thoroughly,
before you use it again.
• Never use any cleansers, abbrasive sub-
stances or solvents. They can damage
the parts of the appliance..
In the event of calcium deposits:
•Take any decalcifying agent used for kit-
chen utensils (e.g. decalcifiers for coffee
machines) from a grocery shop.
• For stainless steel surfaces, you can
use appropriate cleaning agents from
a specialized dealer.
Removing the water strainer and putting
it back again:
• Open the lid completely.
ᕡ Press on the nose on the water strainer,
from above in order to take it out from
inside
• After cleaning the kettle you can simply
put put the strainer back and push it
firmly – that’s all!
6. Storage
Let the kettle cool down completely
before you put it away.
• Wind the power cord around the
holder on the bottom of the device.
• Keep the kettle on a dry surface.
Tip: Empty the kettle completely before
you put it away..
7. Disposal
Care for the environment. Do not dispose
off the appliance with household waste
under any circumstances. If you wish to
dispose of the device, dispose of it at a
collection site for recycling of electronics.
