5.Cleaning and care

Never open the case of the

appliance. There are no control

elements inside. When the case is

open, there is a danger of fatal injury

due to the risk of an electric shock.

Before cleaning the appliance……

• first remove the plug from the wall socket

and allow the appliance to cool down.

• The parts of the appliance must never be

immersed in water or other fluids under

any circumstances. There may be a

danger of fatal injury due to the risk of an

electric shock if residual fluid comes into

contact with live parts when used next

time.

• Clean the baking surfaces after use first

of all with a dry piece of kitchen roll to

soak up any surplus grease.

• Afterwards, clean all surfaces and the

lead with a slightly damp dishcloth. Dry

the appliance thoroughly before using it

again.

• Do not use cleaning agents or solvents.

They can not only lead to damage to the

appliance but also to residues in the next

waffles.

In case of baked-on residues:

• Do not under any circumstances use

sharp objects. The coating of the baking

surfaces may be damaged.

• It is better to place a wet dishcloth on the

baked-on residues to soften them.

6.Storage

Allow the appliance to cool down

before storing.

• Wind the lead around the holder

underneath the appliance.

• Store the appliance in a dry place.

7.Disposal

There are no materials in the appliance

to which particular disposal regulations apply

at the point in time of these instructions being

issued (July2003).

If necessary ask your local authority if the

legal situation has changed in the meanwhile.

You can help to protect children playing with

the appliance from potential danger by

cutting off the plug before disposal.

A few tips for

perfect waffles:

Waffles become more crisp if you

add more water to the batter.

Waffles become softer if you add

more milk to the batter.

Let freshly baked waffles cool down

on a wire tray without piling other

waffles on top. Only then will the

waffles remain crisp.

1. Campo de aplicação

Este aparelho foi concebido para fazer

Gaufres para consumo doméstico. Ele não

foi concebido para a preparação de outros

alimentos e nem para ser usado para fins

comerciais ou industriais.

Para evitar choques eléctricos

que possam pôr em perigo a sua

vida:

• Certificar-se que o aparelho nunca possa

entrar em contacto com a água enquanto

a ficha estiver ligada à tomada -

especialmente se usar o aparelho na

cozinha, próximo do lava-loiça.

•Prestar atenção para que, durante o

funcionamento, não deixar molhar o cabo

do aparelho. Mantenha-o de maneira a que

não possa ficar entalado ou danificado de

qualquer outra forma. Se o cabo ou a ficha

de rede estiver danificado, de modo

nenhum o aparelho não deve continuar a

ser usado - primeiro é necessário levar o

aparelho à Assistência Técnica e mandar

substituir o cabo ou a ficha.

• Depois de usar o aparelho, não esquecer

de desligar a ficha da tomada,

especialmente se o aparelho tiver sido

usado na casa de banho. Não basta

desligar o aparelho no interruptor - porque

se mantém ainda tensão de rede,

enquanto a ficha estiver ligada à tomada.

Para evitar perigo de incêndio

e de ferimetos

• As peças do aparelho poderão ficar

realmente aquecidas quando do

funcionamento, por isso, pegue somente o

manípulo. Mesmo o botão de regulação

pode ficar aquecido após um determinado

período de funcionamento, por isso,

é melhor trajar luvas para tachos.

• As massas podem arder! Portanto, não

colocar o aparelho por baixo de objectos

inflamáveis, especialmente debaixo de

cortinados e cortinas.

•Não deixar nunca o aparelho a funcionar

sem vigilância.

• Não deixar pessoas frágeis ou crianças

pegar sem vigilância em electrodomésticos

geradores de calor - pois estas pessoas

nem sempre conseguem reconhecer os

perigos.

• Ao abrir a tampa, podem escapar-se ondas

de grande calor. Por isso, para abrir a

tampa, é favor usar sempre luvas de

cozinha.
