1. Use the bracket as a template to mark the
position of the holes to be drilled.
(NOTE: Ensure that the position you choose
is suitable for mounting the heater and that
the area for fixing is away from hidden
electrical cables or pipes.)
2. Drill the holes and fix the bracket to the wall
using wall plugs and screws.
3. Slide the heater correctly onto the bracket
until it "clicks" firmly into place and the heater
is safely held.
FROST GUARD
For BFH420 only
Turn the thermostat to the minimum (furthest
left position). The unit will automatically start
when the temperature drops below 5˚C.
For BFH430 only
Press the 'Mode' button 5 consecutive times
for Anti Frost setting (AF will show in the
digital display). This special setting is
automatically activated when the (AF) mode is
selected. In this mode, the heater is off until
the room's temperature reaches freezing and
the heater automatically turns on HI power.
The heater will cycle ON and OFF as it
maintains the temperature between 5˚C - 8˚C.
AUTO SAFETY SHUT OFF
This heater is equipped with a technologically
advanced safety system that requires the user to
reset the heater if there is a potential overheat
situation. When a potential overheat situation is
reached, (e.g. if the heater was accidentally covered)
the system will automatically switch the heater off.
Operation can only be resumed if the user resets the
heater as detailed below.
To reset the heater

Example - Switch OFF
The time is 1 pm. The heater is running and
you require the heater to switch off at 5 pm
therefore: Set the time at 4 hours.
Example - 4 hours.
Example - Switch ON
The time is 1 pm. You require the heater to
switch on at 5 pm therefore: Set the ON time
at 4 hours.
Example - 4 hours.
Keep the mains cord at a safe distance from
the main body of the heater.
Prevent overheating of the heater by keeping
the air inlet and outlet unblocked. DO NOT
hang anything in front of or above the heater.
If overheating should occur, the built-in
overheating safety device will switch off the
heater.
DO NOT use aerosols, inflammable
substances or materials sensitive to heat in
the flow of hot air.
Servicing
Should the heater stop working, first check
the fuse in the plug (UK only) or fuse/circuit
breaker at the distribution board is operating,
before contacting the manufacturer or
service agent.
If the supply cord or plug is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or its
service agent or a similarly qualified person
in order to avoid hazard.
The heater contains no user serviceable
parts and should the product suffer damage
or breakdown it must be returned to the
manufacturer or their service agent.
HOW TO REMOVE THE HEATER FROM
THE BRACKET
1. Always unplug the heater first.
2. Push the small lug on the bracket
downwards and simultaneously pull the
appliance off the bracket.
OPERATION (FOR BFH420 ONLY)
Setting the power level
Turn the Mode control (B) switch clockwise
= fan position - cool air
1 = low power (1200 watts)
2 = high power (2400 watts)
Setting the temperature level
Use the thermostat to set the desired
temperature level. The thermostat will maintain
the desired temperature level by switching on
and off at intervals.
1. To find the ideal thermostat setting, turn the
thermostat knob (C) clockwise as far as it will
go.
2. When the desired temperature is reached,
slowly turn the thermostat knob anti-clockwise
until the heater turns off.
3. The heater will now automatically retain the
temperature at the required level.
USING THE TIMER (FOR BFH420 ONLY)
Your heater has been equipped with a timer.
When the timer is used, the heater will switch
itself off after a preset time (max. 180 minutes).
Turn the timer control (A) clockwise and set the
number of minutes e.g. 30 = On for 30 minutes.
The pilot light goes on and the appliance
switches on at the preset temperature and
setting. The heater switches off and the pilot
light goes out as soon as the preset time has
elapsed. e.g. if you turn the dial clockwise to 30,
the heater will stay on for 30 minutes and then
switch off.
To switch the timer off:
Slowly turn the timer control anti-clockwise and
select setting.

the (+) or (-) buttons. The digital display will
flash the selected preset temperature for 2
seconds. If the room temperature is below
your selected thermostat temperature the
heater will switch on and the room
temperature will gradually increase until the
preset temperature is reached. The digital
thermostat will now automatically maintain the
heater temperature at the desired level.
6. To shut the unit off at any time, press the
"MODE" button for 2 seconds.
NOTE:
1. If the heater will not switch on in the Auto
mode, please check the room temperature is
not higher than the preset thermostat
temperature.
2. It is normal for the heater to cycle On and Off
as it maintains the selected room temperature. In
Auto mode, when the heater automatically
switches off, the High or Low indicator (depending
on the setting) will flash. To run the heater
continuously select manual High or Low.
