WARNING: Unbalanced blades will cause the lawnmower to vibrate-risk of accident!

1. Disconnect the mower from power supply before removing or reﬁtting the blade.

2. Turn the mower unit on to its side.

3. Firmly grip the end of the cutting blade - with a gloved hand.

4. Remove the ﬁxing bolt, with the spanner provided.

5. Carefully remove the cutting blade.

6. Ensure that the ‘New’ cutting blade is the correct way up, with the turned edges facing towards the motor.

7. Locate the ‘New’ blade into position on the carrier pins. The blade with texts should face outward.

8. Secure the ﬁxing bolt and tighten.

9. Return the mower unit to an upright position.

POWER SUPPLY CABLE

Before use, the power supply cable should be inspected for signs of damage or ageing.

DO NOT USE ANY POWER TOOLS IF THE CABLE IS DAMAGED OR WORN.

NOTE: All electrical inspections and repairs should be conducted by a qualiﬁed electrician.

STORAGE FOR LONGER PERIODS

NOTE: To ensure your mower is maintained in good working order, if the storage period exceeds one month it is important

that the following is adopted:

1. Clean all areas of the mower, ensure that the grass collection box is empty and clean.

2. Lubricate the wheels, pivot points and linkagesn.

3. Cover all metal parts with oil to prevent corrosion.

4. Cover the mower with a protective sheet and store in a dry area.

NOTE: Switch oﬀ the machine, unplug the power cord and wait until all moving parts have completely stopped before cleaning

and/or maintenance.

• Do not ﬂush the machine with water.

• The penetration of water can damage the electrical parts.

• Clean the machine with a dry cloth, brush or the equivalent.

NOTE: Have the machine checked by an authorised service centre if:

–– The lawn mower blade strikes an object. –– The motor suddenly stops.

–– The blade is bent (do not attempt to straighten it).

–– The motor shaft is bent (do not attempt to straighten it).

–– There is a short-circuit/electrical fault when the power cord is plugged in. –– The gear or drive is damaged.

–– The V-belt is damaged.

SHARPENING/REPLACING THE BLADE

The blade should be checked and if necessary sharpened and/or balanced at the end of the season by a qualiﬁed person.

The insulation on the machine should also be checked in conjunction with removing the blade at the end of the season.

Storage

Clean the machine well on completion of the work. Allow the motor to cool before putting the machine away. Store the machine in

a dry place.

The machine will take up less space if the top handle is folded down. Unscrew the wing nuts about 6 turns.

IMPORTANT: Make sure the power cord is not clenched when folding down the handle.
