Operating Instructions
The BLAUPUNKT 750W Electric Jig Saw features a variable speed motor that delivers up to 3000 SPM for best performance on
various applications. This saw can make bevel cuts of up to 45 degrees and the 4-position orbital operation allows for aggressive
cutting whether you are cutting wood, metal or plastic.
• Always disconnect from the power source before installing or removing a blade or adjusting the jigsaw in any way.
• Selecting the correct type of blade is important to obtain the best performance from the saw. Select the correct blade for the
material you wish to cut. Selecting the right blade will give you a smoother, faster cut and prolong the life of the blade.
Fitting A Blade
Before attaching a blade please ensure that the jigsaw is not connected to the power source.
• Lift the blade locking lever upwards.
• Insert the blade into the saw bar until it reaches the stop position.
• Release the blade locking lever.
• The blade should now be locked into position. Pull the blade to confirm it is correctly situated.
NOTE: During use periodically check the security of the blade.
Angle Cutting (Bevel Cutting)
To set the cutting angle to one of the preset angles 15, 30 or 45 degrees.
• Loosen the hexagon screw located on the underside of the machine using the hexagon key.
• Adjust the base plate to the desired cutting angle.
• Finally re-tighten the hexagon screw.
Orbital Motion
The blade of the jigsaw cuts in an orbital motion. This feature is adjustable and provides faster, more efficient cutting.
With orbital motion the blade cuts through your work in the upstroke but does not drag across your work in the down stroke. The
higher settings should be used when fast cutting in soft material is desired. The lower setting should be used when cutting
materials with more resistance. The ‘0’ setting shuts off the orbital motion. Setting ‘4’ offers the maximum orbital motion.
Variable Speed Control
Two options are provided to control the stroke rate. The stroke rate can be preset using the using the setting wheel (8). During use
the amount of pressure applied to the On/Off trigger will also vary the speed of the jigsaw.
Trigger Switch Lock Button
For continuous operation it is possible to lock the jigsaw in the on position, extreme care and attention should be used in this mode.
Apply pressure to the trigger and then press the locking button (3). In this mode the stroke rate is set using the preset rate (1).
Vacuum Outlet
It is possible to attach a vacuum to the jigsaw using the hose outlet (6), depending on your vacuum cleaner hose diameter an
adapter may be required. Efficiency can be improved by moving the protective cover (15) down.
Laser Guide
The jigsaw is fitted with a laser guide to make cutting straight lines easier. The laser can be switched on using the button on the
front.
Power to the laser is provided by 2x AAA 1.5v batteries. To install, remove the base plate (9) with the hexagon key. Pull down the
protective cover (15) and open the battery cap. Insert batteries and reassemble.
