Switch on the device and select a musical piece with
distinctive bass playback.
Increase the volume of your stereo system to the desired
volume level.
Now slowly increase the gain control until you can hear
a clear amplifi cation of the bass level. Next, use the
crossover control to select a fi lter setting that provides
a well-contoured bass. You may have to alternately opti-
mise the gain control setting and the fi lter setting.
A droning bass with excessive volume requires a fi lter
setting with a low frequency.
The phase switch must be set so that the bass is inte-
grated into the acoustic pattern as best as possible and
not recognisable as an individual source.
Also check your settings of the Velocity 2Go 5 / 2Go 6
with fully activated bass control and loudness switched
on, if necessary. Overdriving through excessive ampli-
fi cation leads to distorted playback and can damage
the loudspeaker.
"Full" range mode setting
The following control settings are recommended as basic
setting before the startup:
Sensitivity (full range gain) to left stop (minimum), see
page 5 / Fig. 6.
Connect an MP3 player via the enclosed Aux cable to
the Aux input pos. 16.
Adjust the gain control pos. 11 so that the Velocity
2Go 5 / 2Go 6 is just fully controlled (distortion limit)
at maximum volume setting of your MP3 player.
Mains operation via the enclosed power
supply
Connect the enclosed power supply with the "DC-In"
socket.
Insert the mains plug of the power supply into an ener-
gised mains outlet.
Always use only the enclosed power supply.
Other power supplies can damage the Velocity 2Go 5 /
2Go 6.
Operation via batteries
The Velocity 2Go 5 / 2Go 6 can be operated using
8 commercial 1.5-V AA batteries as well as 8 recharge-
able NiMh AA batteries.
We recommend using only powerful NiMh batteries with
a capacity of at least 2,500 mAh to ensure suffi cient
operating time.
The batteries are inserted in the battery compartment
bracket while observing the correct polarity (see page
5 / Fig. 7).
The right battery compartment can accept spare bat-
teries.
Remove the batteries if you do not use the Velocity
2Go 5 / 2Go 6 over a longer period of time.
Batteries that have been stored too long or are exhausted
can release acid -- please store separately!
Charge function
The Velocity 2Go 5 / 2Go 6 features an integrated charge
function for NiMh AA batteries.
It is activated either by connecting the enclosed power
supply or the multiport connector if the vehicle battery
voltage is above 13 V (running engine).
The charge indicator light up as soon as the charge
function is active. If the batteries are charged, the
indicator goes out.
If you are using non-rechargeable batteries, the charging
process is prevented.

available to dispose of the product.
