REPLACING THE GAS CYLINDER
Attention: The gas cylinder must be changed in a flameproof atmosphere. Make sure
that all connections of the unit are in the closed position.
1. Close the valve of the gas cylinder.
2. Disconnect the regulator from the bottle according to the instructions supplied
with the regulator.
3. Replace the bottle.
4. If there are no flames, remove the plug or cap from the cylinder valve.
5. Check the seal before connecting the regulator.
6. Perform a leak test.
STORAGE
- Always close the valve of the gas cylinder after use or in case of a malfunction.
- Remove the pressure regulator and hose connection if the patio heater is not used
for an extended period of time.
- The gas cylinder must be stored in a well-ventilated room, out of the reach of
children.
- Disconnected gas cylinders must have threaded plugs and must not be stored in a
garage or other enclosed space.
- Storage of the patio heater indoors is only permitted if the gas cylinder has been
disconnected and removed from the patio heater.
- Check the gas valve regularly for damage. If you suspect you have a damaged gas
valve, have it replaced by your dealer.
- Never store a gas cylinder in an underground room or in places without adequate
air ventilation.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Wipe o powder coated surfaces with a soft, moist rag and soap water. Do not
clean the heater with cleaners that are combustible or corrosive.
- Remove debris, spider and insect nests from ventilation opening of the cylinder
enclosure, control compartment, burner and circulation air passageways of the
heater with a heavy-duty pipe cleaner or compressed air to keep the appliance
clean and safe for use. Never clear ports or other openings with toothpicks or
other items that can break and block the ports.
- If carbon deposits develop, remove the reflector and flame screen and clean them
with soap water. Do not paint the flame screen, control panel or reflector.
- Cover the burner unit with a protective cover when the heater is not in use. Wait
until the heater is cooled o before covering.
- In a salt-air environment such as near an ocean, corrosion occurs more quickly
than normal. Check frequently for corroded areas and repair them promptly.
