PACK. Your safety is our primary concern, so please ensure
that you familiarize yourself with all the information in this
manual before using your Gymform ® SIX PACK. It is es-
sential that anyone who intends to use this device reads and
understands the instructions provided. An informed user is
a safe user. Thank you for purchasing the Gymform® SIX
PACK. We hope you enjoy your sessions.
WARNING
Before embarking on any exercise programme, including
the Gymform® SIX PACK, consult your general practitioner
and your physiotherapist.
Ensure that you read the instructions, warnings and pre-
cautions carefully before using your Gymform® SIX PACK.
Gymform® SIX PACK is designed for healthy adults. Howe-
ver, the device should be used with care. Read the following
guidelines and instruction manual before using the product.
- Applying electrodes in the thorax area may increase
the risk of cardiac brillation.
- Using the Gymform® SIX PACK while connected to a
high-frequency surgical unit may cause burns at the
contact points of the Gymform® SIX PACK and may
result in damage to your Gymform® SIX PACK.
- Operation of a short-wave therapeutic device or
microwave oven in the general vicinity (e.g. 1 metre
away) may cause instability in the output power of the
Gymform® SIX PACK.
- This is a powerful electrical muscle stimulation device
and may cause injury if you start with the most advan-
ced exercise programme right away. Start with a lower
level and gradually increase the intensity.
- Do not use on children or animals.
- Do not use while driving or sleeping.
- Do not use in the bathroom or in other places with a
high amount of moisture or humidity.
- The batteries should be removed from the device be-
fore it is disposed of.
- The batteries should be safely disposed of.
- This device may be used by children aged 8 and over,
by people with reduced physical, sensory or men-
tal abilities, and by people lacking in experience and
knowledge if they are appropriately supervised or given
suitable instructions on the safe use of the device and
understand the dangers its use entails. Children should
not be allowed to play with the device. The cleaning and
maintenance to be performed by the user should not be
done by children without supervision.
DO NOT use Gymform ® SIX PACK:
- If you have an electronic implant (such as a pacemaker) or
suffer from another heart problem.
- If you are, or think you might be, pregnant.
- If you have cancer, epilepsy or are under medical supervi-
sion for a cognitive disorder.
- If you are breastfeeding.
- If you have a high fever.
Women, before using Gymform® SIX PACK, you should
wait:
• At least six months after the birth of your child (after con-
sulting your doctor).
• A month after having an intrauterine device (IUD) tted.
• At least three months after having a caesarean section
(after consulting your doctor).
• Until after the rst days of your menstrual period.
Before using Gymform ® SIX PACK you should obtain
permission from your doctor or physiotherapist:
• If you suffer from a serious disease or injury not mentioned
in this section.
• If you were operated on recently.
• If you are diabetic and take insulin.
When putting on the product, always remember:
• Do not place the product on the neck, genitals, scars, mo-
les, varicose veins or head.
• Do not place it on recent scars, inamed skin, infected
areas or areas that are susceptible to acne, thrombosis or
other vascular problems (e.g. varicose veins), or any part of
your body with limited sensitivity.
• Do not place on areas with injuries or limited mobility (e.g.
fractures or sprains).
• Do not place the product directly on metal implants. Place
receivers on the closest muscle.
Possible Adverse Reactions:
There have been isolated reports of skin reactions caused
by the use of electro-stimulation devices, including allergies,
prolonged skin redness and acne. If any of these symptoms
occur, switch off the device and consult your doctor.
If you have never exercised before or have not exerci-
sed for a long time:
Consult your general practitioner.
Precautions:
• Do not use Gymform® SIX PACK if you are drowsy or
while sleeping.
• Do not use Gymform® SIX PACK if your body is in contact
with water.
• Keep the device out of reach of children.
• Do not use Gymform® SIX PACK in combination with any
other device that transmits electrical current to your body or
with any other machine.
• Do not connect the metal snap fasteners or electrodes to
any other object.
• Do not modify the device.
• Use only the electrodes supplied by Industex.
• Do not attach two electrodes together.
• If any of the electrodes is not attached properly, you will
notice an itching sensation.
• Do not use gel pads that are damaged, impaired or dirty,
since these can cause burns or injuries.
• While using the product, make sure that the gel pads are
in contact with the electrodes. If the electrode touches bare
skin, it may cause injuries or burns.
• Attach the product to the area concerned and then switch
the device on.
• When you have nished, switch the device off before deta-
ching it from your body.
• If you experience any abnormal sensations on your skin
or body, stop using it immediately and consult a doctor.
Otherwise, you may have an accident or suffer an injury.
• If you use the product on full power or for a long period
of time, it may cause muscle strain and tingling or redness
of the skin.
• Remove jewellery and accessories such as necklaces,
belts and earrings before using the device. Otherwise, you
may have an accident or suffer an injury.
• Do not use the product with electronic devices such as
watches, pedometers, mobile phones, etc., since these may
affect its operation.
• Do not use products such as body creams or lotions with
the device, since these can reduce its adhesive properties.
• The gel pad adheres to the skin better if hair has been
removed from the area. However, do not use it on the same
day you have removed the hair.
• Do not heat or cool the product before use, since it could
become deformed. Do not subject the device to sudden
temperature changes while in use, for example by pouring
hot water on it or using it in a sauna, etc.
• Clean the area where you want to use it.
• This product is not waterproof. Do not use it in locations
with high humidity levels or where it could come into contact
with water.
