Storing food in the

appliance

When storing food, comply with the

following:

S Wra p or cover food before placing in the

app liance. This will retain the aroma,

colour and freshness of the food.

Tra nsfer of flavour and discolorationĆ

of the plastic parts will also be

prevented.

S A llow warm food and drinks to cool

dow n before placing in the appliance!

S D o not block air v ents in the re frigerator

com partment with food products to

avoid hindering air circulation.

Food products that are stored directly in

front of the air vents are liable to freeze

due to the cold air flowing out of the

vents.

We recommend arranging the food as

follows:

S In the freezer compartment: Frozen

food , ice cubes, ice cream

S On the shelves in the refrigerator

com partment (from top to bottom):

cake s and pastries, ready meals, dairy

prod ucts, meat and sausage

S In the vegetable container:

vege tables, salad, fruit

S In the door (from top to bottom): butter,

che ese, eggs, tubes, small bottles, large

bottle s, milk, juice cartons

Freezing and storing

food

Purchasing deepĆfrozen

food

Packaging must not be damaged.

Use by the "bestĆbefore" date.

Temperature in the supermarket freezer

-18 °C or lower.

If possible, transport deepĆfrozen food in

an insulated bag and place quickly in the

freezer compartment.

Storing food in the

appliance

Preferably freeze large quantities of food

in the top compartments where freezing is

p a rticula r q uic k a nd the re fore a lso ge ntle .

Place the food ove r the whole are a of the

c om pa rtm e nts or the freezer drawers.

Food which is already froz en must not

come into contact with the food which is

to b e froze n. If re q uire d , m ov e the froze n

food to the freezer drawers.

Storing frozen food

S To ensure good air circulation in the

app liance, insert the freezer drawers all

the way.

S If la rge qua ntitie s of food are to b e

store d in the freezer, all the freezer

drawers (except the bottom one ) c a n be

ta ken out of the ap p lia nc e a nd the food

stacked directly on the freezer shelves.

To remove a freezer drawer, pull out a ll

the way, lift a t the front a nd rem ov e .
