Cleaning and servicing

d Risk of electric shock!

Before working on the appliance, always pull out

the mains plug!

d Risk of injury from sharp blender blades!

Do not touch the blender blades with bare hands.

Clean them with a brush.

Attention!

Surfaces can be damaged. Do not use abrasive

cleaning agents. Wipe the motor compartment

with a damp cloth only. If required, use a little

washingĆup liquid.

Tip: Add a little water and a few drops of

washingĆup liquid to the attached blender jug.

Select the M" setting for several seconds. Pour

out the water and rinse the blender jug with fresh

water.

It is recommended that the blender is cleaned

immediately after use.

S Disassemble the blender: detach the blender

support from the blender jug by rotating it in an

antiĆclockwise direction.

Follow the wording on the underside of the

blender support (Fig. 7).

S Dismantle the blender support:

Carefully take the blade component out of the

blender support (Fig. 8). See also "Easier

method of handling the glass container".

S Carefully remove the sealing ring from the blade

compartment (Fig. 9). Blades are very sharp!

S Disassemble the cover: take the funnel out of

the filler tube in the lid and remove the lower

part of the lid (Fig. 10).

S Clean the blender jug, individual parts of the

lidĂas well as the blender support in the

dishwasher or with normal household

detergent.

S Clean the blade compartment and sealing

ringĂwith a brush under running water only.

Detergent will impair the bearing lubrication.

S Wipe the motor block with a damp cloth and

dry.

S ReĆassemble in reverse sequence.

Easier method of handling the glass container

S Empty the glass container (Fig. 11a).

S Take hold of the glass container by the handle,

press down and rotate in an antiĆclockwise

direction until the blender support is released

(Fig. 11b).

S Remove the glass container and mixer support

together and then dismantle (Figs. 11c-d).

S Assemble in reverse sequence (Figs. 11e-f).

Troubleshooting

Before rectifying a fault, pull out the mains plug!

S Correctly attach the blender

and rotate fully into position.

S Blade is blocked. Switch off

the appliance, empty out the

contents and refill. Switch on

the appliance again.

S Rotate the blender fully into

position.

If any other faults occur, contact customer service.

Recipes

The blender is suitable for

- blending and frothing liquids,

- cutting and chopping raw fruit, vegetables,

nutsĂand chocolate,

- puréeing soups, cooked fruit and vegetables,

- preparing mayonnaise and sauces.

Mayonnaise

Note: Mayonnaise can be prepared in the blender

with whole eggs only.

Basic recipe:

1 egg

1 heaped tsp. mustard

1 tbs. vinegar or lemon juice

1 pinch of salt

1 pinch of sugar

200ć250/7ć9 fl oz ml oil

Ingredients must be at the same temperature.

S Switch on the blender at low speed.

S Process the ingredients (except the oil) at low

speed for several seconds.

S Switch the blender to maximum speed, slowly

pour the oil through the funnel and blend for

approx. 1 minute.

Maximum quantity: Double the quantity of the

basic recipe.
