Allow the heated battery to cool before charg-

ing.

Do not open the battery, and protect from im-

pact. Store in a dry and frost-free place.

Cover the contacts of a removed battery. Dan-

ger of fire results when shorted by a metal ob-

ject!

Bosch is only able to ensure perfect functioning

of the machine if the original accessories in-

tended for it are used.

Battery Charging

A battery that is new or has not been used for a

longer period does not develop its full capacity

until after approximately 5 charging/discharging

cycles.

Disengage the battery

by pressing the releasing

knob

on both sides and pulling down, out of

the handle.

Do not exert any force.

For commissioning the fast battery charger and

for a description of the charging procedure,

please consult the battery charger operating in-

structions provided.

The battery is equipped with an NTC temperature

monitor which allows charging only within a tem-

perature range of between 0 °C and 45 °C. A long

battery service life is achieved in this manner.

When used properly, the battery can be re-

charged up to

3000 times

A substantial drop in the operating time per

charge indicates that the battery is worn out and

must be replaced.

When using Bosch NiMH batteries, the

performance capabilities are limited at

temperatures below –10 °C.

Observe the notes on environmental pro-

tection.

Inserting the Battery

Slide the transport safety-lock

switch

to the left-hand position

(“Lock”).

Push the charged battery

into

the grip, until it is heard to notch.

Switching On and Off

Slide the transport safety-lock

switch

to the right-hand position.

Switch on the machine using the

On/Off switch

If a force of over 60 N is exerted on the

On/Off switch 7, the device can still

switch on despite the transport safety-

lock switch being set.

Pressure value display

By pressing the button

the pressure display

is switched on.

The pressure display

must be calibrated if

“ERR”

is shown on the display.

To do this, press a pointed gadget into the calibra-

tion opening

for approx. 5 seconds (reset func-

tion).

For alternating between the measuring units, i.e.

bar, psi and kg/cm

(1 bar

1 kg/cm

15 psi),

it is necessary to press the button

once again

after actuating the pressure display.

The pressure display

goes out after approx.

90 seconds.
