u This product is not intended for use

by persons (including children) with

reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities, or lack of experience

and knowledge, unless they have

been given supervision or instruction

concerning use of the appliance by a

person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to en-

sure that they do not play with the

product.

u Never operate the product while

people, especially children or pets,

are nearby.

u The user is responsible for accidents

or hazards occurring to other people

or their property.

u Other persons and animals should

remain at a distance of 3metres or

more when the product is being

used. The operator is responsible for

third persons in the working area.

u Use the product only in daylight or

good artificial light.

u Never operate the product when you

are tired, ill or under the influence of

alcohol, drugs or medicine.

u Avoid operating the product in bad

weather conditions especially when

there is a risk of lightning.

u Always wear substantial clothing on

the upper body and limbs when op-

erating this product.

u Do not use open toe rubber shoes

and sandals when using this ma-

chine. Always wear sturdy shoes and

long trousers (see figures C and L).

u Failure to keep loose clothing from

being drawn into air intake could res-

ult in personal injury.

u Failure to keep long hair tied back

and away from the air inlet could res-

ult in personal injury.

u Operate the product only with the

nozzle and/or vacuum tube moun-

ted.

u Thoroughly inspect the area where

the product is to be used and remove

all wires and other foreign objects.

u Check cable for damage before start-

ing work and replace if necessary.

Keep cable away from heat, oil and

sharp edges.

u Always direct the cable to the rear

away from the product.

u Never operate the product with de-

fective guards or shields, or without

safety devices, for example collec-

tion bag in place.

u Always ensure all handles and

guards supplied are fitted when us-

ing the product. Never attempt to

use an incomplete product or one fit-

ted with an unauthorized modifica-

tion.

u While operating the product always

be sure of a safe and secure operat-

ing position at all times.

u Always be aware of your surround-

ings and stay alert for possible haz-

ards that you may not hear whilst op-

erating the leaf blower/garden va-

cuum.
