• Insert the plug into the socket at this point,
and not before.
• The appliance is switched on by turning the
thermostat to the desired temper ature. The
temperatur e can be set between 150°C and
190°C. Please r efer to the food packaging for
the desired temperatur e and cooking time.
See General Tips for guidelines on selecting
the right temperature.
• While the appliance is on, the temperatur e
light will go on and off . The appliance is fitted
with a thermostat which keeps the oil or
liquid fat at the desired temperatur e. The
temperatur e indicator light will remain on
while the deep fryer heats the oil or liquid
fat. The temperatur e indicator light will go off
once the oil or liquid fat has r eached the
desir ed temperature.
• Allow the appliance to preheat for
appr oximatel y 15 minutes with the oil or
liquid fat at the desired temperatur e.
• Put the food in the basket and subsequently
place the basket in the appliance. Be extra
car eful and watch out for spatters. Then put
the lid on the appliance.
• Check r egularly whether the level of the oil or
liquid fat is between the minimum and
maximum markings on the tank. Do not put
too much food in the basket. If necessary, add
oil or liquid fat.
As soon as the food is done:
• Shake the basket using the handle to r emove
ex cess oil or liquid fat.
• Leave the basket to r est for a while on the
hook of the removabl e tank to remov e exc ess
oil or fat.
• Empty the basket on a plate or dish, or
similar, using the handle.
• Switch the appliance off after using it, unplug
it and wait for the appliance to cool down.
• When the appliance is not being used, stor e it
in a dry place.
• Make sure that childr en do not have acces s to
stor ed appliances.
GENERAL TIPS
• Only use oil or liquid fat. The appliance is not
suitable f or solid fat.
• Use a vegetabl e oil, such as ground nut oil,
corn oil or soya oil for the most tasty results.
• For the healthiest results, thaw the food
befor e use and frequentl y replace the oil or
liquid fat.
• Deep-fry pr ecooked chips only onc e.
• T o pre vent poor frying results, do not place
too much food in the basket.
• Always replac e the oil or liquid fat after deep-
frying raw food such as chicken legs.
• After using the deep fryer, sift the food
r emains from the oil or liquid fat. It will keep
the oil or liquid fat fr esh much longer .
• Always pre-fry fr esh chips. Deep-fry the chips
appr ox. 5 10 minutes at 170°C. Shake the
chips loose and leave them to cool in a dish
for a short while. Then deep-fry the chips
again appro x. 2-4 minutes at 175°C.

HOW TO RESET THE APPLIANCE
The deep fryer can be reset as follows if the
appliance doesn’t work. The cause is often the
use of solid fat or too little oil. The overheating
pr otection switches the heating element off when
this occurs. The safety system can be r estor ed as
foll ows:
• Press the r eset button at the fr ont of the
electric operating panel with the reset pen to
r eset the appliance.
• Check whether the operating panel is
secur ely fast ened to the baseboard on the
housing. The deep fryer has a safety switch
that switches off the heating element when it
is not properl y fixed to the pan.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Leave the oil or f at to cool down c ompletel y
befor e cl eaning the pan. Do not move the pan
befor e the oil/fat has cool ed down compl etely .
• If the deep fryer will not be used f or a long period
of time, it is r ecommended to stor e the oil/fat in
the r efrigerator . Filter the oil/f at befor e storing it.
• Unplug the appliance and wait for it to cool
down befor e cleaning and/or servicing.
• Do not immerse the appliance or parts in
water or any other liquid.
• Do not use any acerbic or abrasive cleaning
liquids.

• Do not use any sharp objects.
• Only the removabl e tank can be cleaned in a
dishwasher . Do not clean the appliance and
the other parts in the dishwasher .
• Check the appliance for possibl e damage on
a regular basis.
• Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft,
damp wiping cloth. Thoroughl y dry the
exterior of the appliance.
Clean the acc essories:
• T ake apart the appliance.
• T ake apart the lid and clean it with a soft,
damp wiping cloth and a few drops of
washing-up liquid. Then dry it thoroughl y
with a dry cloth.
• Clean the appliance and the electric
operating panel with a soft, damp wiping
cloth and a few dr ops of washing-up liquid.
Then dry it thoroughly with a dry cloth.
• Clean the basket and the safety filter in soapy
water . Then rinse with running water and dry
thor oughly with a dry cloth.
• Clean the remov able tank in soapy water or
in the dishwasher . Then rinse with running
water and dry thoroughl y with a dry cloth.
• Assemble the appliance.
• Store the deep fryer in a dry and well-ventilat ed
place out of the r each of childr en. If storing for a
long period of time, it is r ecommended to stor e
the deep fryer in its original packaging.
REPLACING OIL OR LIQUID F A T
After having used the appliance four, maximum
five times, replac e the oil or liquid fat as follows:
• Remove the lid, the basket and the electric
operating panel from the appliance.
• Remove the removabl e tank from the
appliance.
• Remove the safety filter from the pan.
• Pour the oil or liquid fat in a container and
take it to a recy cling point.
• Then clean the r emovabl e tank and the filter
with soapy water and dry them thoroughl y .
• Assemble the appliance.
• Only fill the removabl e tank with fresh oil
or liquid fat when you are going to use the
deep fryer again.
WASTE DISPOSAL
Electric al appliances, acc essories and their
packaging must be r eused as much as possibl e in
an envir onmentally sound manner . Do not dispose
of these items together with your normal rubbish.

Guideline on the disposal of old electric and
electr onic appliances, the appliances that ar e no
