Troubleshooting
Problem:
There
are
strange
lines
on
the
scanned
image,
or
the
image
is
not
clear.
Solution:
Please
ensure
the
following:
•
Are
there
scratches
on
the
original,
or
is
the
original
clean?
Remove
any
stains
or
dust
from
the
original
before
scann
i
ng.
•
Has
the
scanner
been
used
for
a
long
period
of
time
without
clean
i
ng
and
calibration?
Refer
to
"Cleaning
the
scanner"
on
page
23
and
"Calibrating
the
scanner"
on
page
18
to
clean
and
cali
bra
te
the
scanner
and
t
hen
try
again.
Problem:
The
original
gets
stuck
halfway
in
the
feeding
slot.
Solution:
Press
t
he
Power
button.
The
scanner
will
back
out
the
original
so
you
can
remove
the
jammed
original
from
the
outpu
t
slot
Problem:
The
status

ndicator
blinks
rap
i
dly
and
no
scan
is
possible.
Solution:
Check
the
following:
•
Is
the
memory
card
inserted
properly
i
nto
the
memory
card
slot?
Re-inser
t
the
card
and
t
ry
again.
•
Is
the
SD
card
locked

to

e-protect)?
Unlock
the
card.
•
Is
the
memory
card
fu
ll
?
The
indicator
blinks
when
the
free
space

the
memory
card
is

1MB.

Is

memory

NTFS
or

file
formats?
The
scanner
only
accepts
memory
cards
in
FAT
or
FAT32

off
and
then

scanner
and
try
again.

sure
