5.1 General cleaning

D Clean the exterior of the device with a damp cloth (if necessary, use a non−abrasive cleaning agent).

D Use a vacuum Cleaner to clean the grille at the rear of the device.

5.2 Flushing the water system

Flush the water system with clean water if you have not used it to draw off water for one to two weeks.

5.2.1 Chiller (Type I)

1. Use button 2 to draw−off approximately 0.5 liters of water.

2. Wait until the water has reached the set temperature (about 30 minutes).

The device is ready for use.

5.2.2 Chiller with CO

(Type II)

1. Use button 3 to draw−off the contents of the CO

tank until only CO

gas escapes from the outlet

(3 liters).

2. Use button 2 to draw−off approximately 0.5 liters of water.

3. Wait until the water has reached the set temperature (about 30 minutes).

The device is ready for use.

5.3 Cleaning the cold water system

The cold water reservoir should be cleaned:

A. When the device has not been used for a relatively long period of time.

B. When the water that is drawn off has an unusual taste.

C. At least every six months or when the cleaning−/ replace filter indicator (C1) is flashing.

5.3.1 Cleaning Procedure

Before cleaning make sure the following items are available:

D Cleaning kit (2 x 50 ml cleaning agent and 1 spray bottle of cleaning agent)

D Cleaning cartridge (3M AP2−E)

WARNING

n Before use carefully read the instructions of the drinking−water disinfectant to be used first.

5.3.1.1 Chiller (Type I)

1. Close the water tap.

2. Fill the cleaning cartridge with the two bottles of detergent.

3. Connect the cleaning cartridge to the Chiller.

4. Turn the water tap open.

5. Use button 2 to draw off approximately 0.25 liters of water.

6. Wait for about 30 minutes, the Chiller will now fill with the cleaning agent.

7. Use the spray bottle to clean the outlet, during the filling process.

8. Remove the cleaning cartridge and empty the water present.

9. Again, use button 2 to draw off approximately 1 liters of water.

10. If a water filter is connected it should also be replaced now (see § 3.2.3).

11. Reset the timer for cleaning (see § 6.1.2).

The device is ready for use.
