Removing the seat cover
1. Remove the sunshade (see chapter 8.5).
2. Open the harness buckle 08 (press the red r elease
button).

Release the fasteners on the shoulder pads

4. Pull the part of the headrest cover under the shoulder
straps 07 upwar ds .

6. Unhook the plastic strips from underneath the edge of
the infant carrier on all sides.
7. Pull the belt end 09 out of the cover .
8. Remove the cover .
►The cover can now be washed.
Please observe the instruc-
tions on the washing label of the cover .
Remove the back of the new born insert before washing ,
this must not be washed:

1. Rotate the SIC T 26 all the way back in a clockwise
direction.
2. Unhook the diagonal str ap 16 from the light blue belt
holder 12 .
3. Open the vehicle seat buckle 18 and take the lap belt
section 17 out of the dark blue belt guides 03 .
►The infant carrier can now be removed.
DANGER! The infant carrier must always be se-
cured when it is in the vehicle, even if no child is being
transport ed.

REMOV AL:
Removing and cleaning the harness buckle
1. Tip the infant carrier backwar ds.
2. Push the metal plat e 30 , with which the harness buckle
is fixed to the seat shell, on its side upwar ds through the
belt slot 31 .
3. Soak the buckle 08 in warm water with dishwashing
liquid for at least an hour . Rinse and dry thoroughly .
Fitting the harness buckle:
1. Push the metal plat e 30 on its side downwards through
the belt slot 31 in the cover and through the seat shell.
Pay att ention to the direction.
2. Check for correct fitting by pulling firmly on the harness
buckle 08 .
Re-fitting the cover
Proceed in r everse order to re-fit the cover .

Belt guide colours
For bett er dierentiation, the two vehicle seat
belts are highlighted in dier ent colours. The
diagonal strap 16 in light blue and the lap belt
17 in dark blue. The colours of the belt guides
on the child safety seat follow the same colour
scheme.
Please observe the instructions for using children's restr aining systems in the operating
instructions of your vehicle.
Please refer to the oper ating instructions for your vehicle for information about vehicle
seats which are certified for the use of children's restr aining systems according t o ECE R16.

Y ou can also use the BAB Y -SAFE i-SIZE / BABY -SAFE i-SIZE² in combination with the
BAB Y -SAFE i-SIZE BASE/FLEX BASE (available as an accessor y) as an i-Size approved
product. The bases make it easier to fit the seat in and r emove it from your vehicle safely . The
BAB Y -SAFE i-SIZE FLEX BASE also makes it possible to adjust the angle of the infant carrier .

The infant carrier has been designed, tested and certified accor ding to the
requirements of the Eur opean Standard for Child Safety Equipment (ECE
R129/00). The seal of approval "E" (in a circle) and the appr oval number are
located on the or ange approval label (sticker on the child safety seat).
DANGER! The infant carrier must not be used with any base stations
other than those listed in chapter "4. USE IN THE VEHICLE".
DANGER! This certification will be invalidated if you make any modi-
fications to the child safety seat. Only the manufacturer is
permitted to mak e modifications to the child safety seat.
Unauthorised technical changes can cause the prot ective
function of the seat to be reduced or complet ely eliminated.
Do not make any technical changes t o the infant carrier .
WARNING! Use the
BAB Y -SAFE i-SIZE
exclusively for securing your
child in your vehicle. It must never be used as a seat or toy
inthe home.
DANGER! Never secure your child or the child safety seat with a 2-point
belt. If you secure your child in the child seat with only a
2-point belt, then in the event of an accident this may cause
serious injuries to your child, possibly resulting in death.

Please ensure that you only use the original BRIT AX RÖMER replacement seat cov-
ers, as the seat cover is an integr al part of the child safety seat and fulfils important
functions to ensure the smooth oper ation of the system. Replacement seat covers
are available from your dealer .
• The plastic parts can be cleaned using soapy water . Do not use harsh cleaning
agents (such as solvents).
DANGER! The infant carrier must not be used without the seat cover .
