NEEDLE Single

An applique is created by cutting a contrasting piece of fabric into a

shape to be used as a decoration on a garment or project.

1. Baste the cut design to the fabric in the location where desired.

2. Carefully sew around the edge of the cutout design with a Zigzag

Stitch in the short stitch length.

3. Cut away the surplus fabric outside of the stitching.

4. Remove the basting, if necessary.

NOTE:

Make reinforcing Straight Stitches at the beginning and the end of the

stitching to secure your work.

Pour créer une applique, découper une forme dans un morceau de

tissu contrastant et s’en servir pour décorer un vêtement ou un ouvrage.

1. Faufiler le motif découpé à l’endroit désiré sur le tissu.

2. Coudre soigneusement le long du motif découpé en points zigzag

avec une petite longueur de point.

3. Couper la partie du tissu dépassant de la couture.

4. Défaufiler si nécessaire.

REMARQUE:

Renforcer la couture à l’aide de points droits aux deux extrémités pour

que celle-ci ne se défasse pas.

Una aplicación se crea cortando un trozo de tejido que haga con-

traste con una forma determinada para utilizarlo como decoración

en una prenda.

1. Hilvane la aplicación recortada al tejido donde desee ponerla.

2. Cosa cuidadosamente los bordes del diseño con una puntada

zigzag en un largo de puntada fino.

3. Recorte el tejido sobrante que quede fuera del pespunte.

4. Quite los hilvanes si fuera necesario

NOTA:

Cosa unas puntadas rectas al principio y al final de las puntadas

para reforzar las costuras.

Um aplique pode ser criado recortando-se uma peça de tecido contrastante

dentro de um formato para ser usado como decoração numa roupa ou proje-

to.

1. Alinhave o motivo recortado ao tecido na posição desejada.

2. Costure cuidadosamente em torno da borda do motivo recortado com

um Ponto em Zig-Zag no comprimento de ponto curto.

3. Corte o tecido excedente para fora da costura.

4. Remova o alinhavo, se necessário.

NOTA:

Faça Pontos Retos de reforço no início e no término da costura para prender

o seu trabalho.
