With your P-touch H75, you can create labels for any application. Select from
the many frames, character sizes and styles to design beautiful custom la-
bels. In addition, the variety of tape cartridges available allows you to print la-
bels with different widths and exciting colours.
Read this manual carefully before starting and keep the manual in a handy
place for future reference.
• Always use the specified voltage and th e suggested AC adapter (AD-24ES) for this
machine to prevent any damage or f ailure.
• Unplug the power cord immediately and st op using the P-touch during an electrica l
storm. There may be a remote risk of el ectric shock from lightning.
• Do not use the AC adapter in places of high humidi ty such as bathrooms.
• Do not overload the power cord.
• Do not place heavy objects on , or damage the power cord or plug . Do not forcibly bend
or pull the p ower cord. When disconne cting the power cord f rom the power outl et,
always hold the plug.
• To prevent fire or electr ic shock, make sure that the plug is fully insert ed into the power
outlet. Do not use an outlet tha t is loose.
• Do not get the machine/AC adapter/ power plug wet, such as by handling them with
wet hands or spilling beverages on to them.
• Do not disassemble or modify the machine/AC adapter/batteri es.
• Disconnect the AC adapter, remove batteries and stop using immedi ately if you notice
any abnormal odour, heat , discolouration, deformation or anything unusua l while in
use, or in storage.
• Do not use metallic articl es, such as tweezers or a metallic pen, when exchanging the
batteries.
• To avoid injuries, do not t ouch the blade of the cutter un it or any metal parts near the
print head.
• Do not apply excessive pressure to the cutter lever .
• Remove the batteries and disconnect the AC adapt er if you do not intend to use the
machine for an extended pe riod of time. (Note: When power is discon nected for more
than two minutes, all text & format s in the display will be lost. Language, Unit and
Time/Date settings will also be cleared.)
• To avoid battery leakage or damage, make su re batteries are inserted correctly.
• To prevent damage or breakage, do not drop or hit th e machine/AC adapter or press
on the LCD display.
• Depending on the location, materi al, and environmental condit ions, the label may
unpeel or beco me irremovable, the colou r of the label may chang e or be transferred
to other objects. Before applyin g the label, check the environmental condition and the
material.
• Any data stored in memory may b e lost due to failure or repair o f the P-touch, or if the
battery expires.
• Do not use the P-touch in any way or for any purpose not describe d in this guide.
Doing so may result in accidents or damage to the machine.
• Do not clean t he machine with alcohol or other organic solvents. On ly use a soft, dry
cloth.
• Do not touch the print he ad with your fingers. Use a soft wipe (e.g. a cotton swab)
when cleaning the print head.
• Do not put a ny foreign objects into the tape exit slot or AC adapter conn ector, etc.
• Do not place the P-touch in direct sunlight or rain, near heaters or other hot
appliances, dashboard or in the back of your car, in any locat ion exposed to extremely
high or low temperatures, high hu midity, or dusty locations. Standard opera ting
temperature range: 10° C to 35° C.
• Do not try to print labels using an empty tape cassette in the P-touch. Doing so will
damage the print head.
• Do not pull th e tape being fed from the P-touch, otherwise the tape cassette or P-touch
may be damaged.

If the cutter blade becomes blunt and/or the cutter stopper wears out after
repetitive use, causing the cutter to not cut the tape clea nly, replace with a
new cutter unit (stock no. TC-5) which can be obtained from an a uthorised
Brother reseller.

Problem Solution
The display st ays blank

• Chec k that the batteries are correctly inserted.
• If the batteries are weak, replace them.
• Chec k that the AD-24ES adapter is correctly connected.
When the label is
printed out, there is too
much margin (space) on
both sides of the te xt.

select [Half] or [Narro w] to have smaller margins for y our
label.
The machine does not
print, or the printed

formed properly .
• Chec k that the tape casse tte has been inserted correctly .
• If the tape cassette is empty , replace it.

[GETTING STARTED]
Power Supply & Tape Cassettes
Open the tape compartment
cover by pressing in the rough
area at the top end of the
machine.
If a tape cassett e is already
installed, remove it by pulling it
straight up. Al so, if batteries are
already installed, remove them.
• Make sure that the power is
turned off when replacing
batteries or tape ca ssette.
Insert six new AAA alkaline
batteries (LR03), making sur e
that their poles point in the
correct directions. Always
replace all six batteri es at the
same time using brand new
ones.
Insert a tape cassette, making
sure that it slots into place.
• Make sure that the end of the tape feeds under the tape guides.
• Insert a TZe cassette, making sure that it slots into place.
Securely close the back cover, making
sure that it slots into place.
After you have installed t he tape, feed the
tape (see Feeding) once and then push in the
tape cutter lever to cut the t ape.
When using AC adapter (AD-24ES)
Insert the plug on the adapter cord into
the adapter jack on the bottom end of
the machine.
Insert the plug into the nearest standard
electrical outlet.
For memory back up, we recommend using
AAA alkaline batteries (LR03) together with
the AC adapter.
