Incoming speech volume
During a call, press or to increase or decrease the volume. The first press will
show the call volume screen so you can see the curr ent volume level. Subsequent
presses will change the volume, you will hear the volume level with each pr ess.

Making calls
Press then dial the phone number . Press to end the call.
Answering calls
If you have subscribed to Caller Display , the caller’ s details will be displayed befor e
you answer (see below and also the full user guide online at bt.com/producthelp
for details).
Lift the handset from the base or charger to answer incoming calls. If the handset is not
on the base or charger , press .
Mute
Select Mute by pressing the right option butt on during a call if you want to prevent the
caller hearing any thing from your end. Select Unmute t o return t o your caller .

Storing new contacts (up to 50)

delete the last digit or letter enter ed.
If you have more than one handset r egistered to the base you will be pr ompted to

Dialling a contact
Fr om the home screen, pr ess . Scroll or to display the entry you want and
press to dial.
Or , search alphabetically using the keypad t o enter the first letter of the name you want

Saving a speed dial entry
Fr om standby , ent er the phone number you want to store. Pr ess and hold the speed
dial button you want to stor e the number under (choose from buttons 2 to 9).

Press and hold the speed dial button to under which the entr y is s tored.
The number is dialled automatically .
Caller Display and the Calls list
Y ou must subscribe to a Caller Display ser vice for this f eatur e to work. Y our network
provider may char ge you for this service.
View and dial from the calls list (up to 50 incoming calls and 20 outgoing calls)
The number of new calls will be shown on the home screen when incoming calls have
been missed e.g.

. Y ou can clear the notification by viewing the calls list on
any handset register ed to the base. The will show for missed calls, will show f or
outgoing calls or will show for incoming calls so that you can diff er entiate between
the types of calls in the calls list.

No dial tone or line cord err or
message displayed on-screen
Only use the cables and batteries supplied.
Make sur e both the mains power adaptor cable and
telephone line cord ar e plugged into the correct sock ets.
Poor speech quality Make sur e the product is not located t oo close to other
electrical appliances. This can also help improve the
handset range fr om the base.
Battery icon flashing

The battery charge is ver y low . Mak e sure you charge the
batteries for 24 hours bef ore use t o ensure maximum
battery per formance.
Using br oadband on the same
phone line?
Make sur e you plug the phone
into the wall sock et via an ADSL
microfilter (not supplied), otherwise
you may have problems with this
product and your br oadband ser vice.
If you use B T Infinity , you will not need to use an ADSL micr ofilter .
For other types of br oadband, please check with your
provider if a microfilt er is r equired.

Finding your wa y ar ound your phone
Y our B T2100 handset has an easy to use menu system. Each menu has a list of options.
When the handset is switched on and at the home screen:
Select Menu by pressing the Left option button
to open the main menu.
Use the or button to scroll thr ough the available menu options.
When the menu you want is displayed, press the Left option button .
Use the or button to scr oll through the available sub menu options.
When the sub menu you want is displayed, pr ess the Left option button .
Select Back by pressing the Right option butt on .
T o exit a menu and ret urn to the home scr een, press

If no butt ons are pressed f or 30 seconds, the handset returns to the home
screen automatically .
