• Thewaterlevelinthereservoir
must not exceed the MAX mark on
the water level gauge.
• Donottouchthehotplate.
• Donotsubmergeinwaterorany
other liquid.
• Neverleaveunattendedwhenin
use, and keep an eye on children.
• Freshly-brewedcoffeeandthe
steam it generates are very hot.
Take care to avoid scalding

Positioning the appliance
• Alwaysplacetheapplianceatthe
back of a kitchen counter and at
asafedistancefromammable
objects such as curtains,
tablecloths or similar.
• Donotcover.
• Donotallowthecordtohangover
the edge of a table/counter, and
keep it away from hot objects and
nakedames.
Cord, plug and mains socket
• Checkregularlythatneithercord
nor plug is damaged and do not
use if they are, or if the appliance
has been dropped or damaged in
any other way.
• Iftheapplianceorplugis
damaged, it must be inspected
and if necessary, repaired by
an authorised repair engineer,
otherwise there is a risk of electric
shock.Nevertrytorepairthe
appliance yourself.
• Removetheplugfromthesocket
before cleaning.
• Avoidpullingthecordwhen
removing the plug from the socket.
Instead, hold the plug.
• Checkthatitisnotpossibleto
pull or trip over the cord or any
extension cord.
Handling the glass pot
• Neverputtheglasspotona
cooking ring or in an oven/
microwave oven.
• Neversetahotglasspotdownon
a wet or cold surface.
• Donotusethepotifitiscracked,
has a loose or defective handle, or
it is broken in any other way.
