Utilizzato insieme ai sistemi di installazione personalizzata (C.I.) o ai
sistemi di ripetitori IR, potrebbe essere desiderabile disabilitare il
ricevitore IR del pannello anteriore disattivando la funzione FRONT IR
(per spegnere premere il pulsante di selezione dell'ingresso). Premere il
pulsante Mode per uscire.
Regolazione fine del guadagno d'ingresso
I livelli relativi degli ingressi possono essere impostati grazie alla
regolazione fine del guadagno. Questo consente di regolarli uno ad uno,
di modo che ciascuno produca lo stesso livello di suono, in termini di
sensazione acustica ("loudness"), quando si commuta da uno all'altro.
Selezionare la sorgente dall'intensità acustica maggiore, e regolare
finemente il suo livello, fino a che esso non corrisponda al livello medio
percepito dalle altre sorgenti. Ripetere questo processo anche per le
altre sorgenti il cui livello acustico sia maggiore della media.
Per impostare la regolazione fine del guadagno d'ingresso, selezionare
INP TRIM nel menu di configurazione del sistema. Selezionare l'ingresso
richiesto ed utilizzare il comando di volume per impostare il guadagno
tra 0 e -12 dB (l'intervallo disponibile è ristretto, dato che il volume è
impostato ad un livello minimo). Premere il pulsante Mode per uscire.

Impostazione del pre-amplificatore (continuazione)
Ingressi a livello fisso
Tutti gli ingressi dell’840E possono essere impostati ad un guadagno
fisso. Ogni volta che si seleziona questo ingresso, il guadagno ritornerà
automaticamente al valore definito, e non sarà regolabile tramite il
comando di volume. Questa funzione può essere utile con sorgenti
dotate di un proprio comando di volume incorporato (ad esempio alcuni
set-top box, ecc.).
Quest’opzione, inoltre, può essere utilizzata per integrare un sinto-
amplificatore AV dotato di uscite preamplificate (come i nostri modelli
540R e 640R, ad esempio) con l’840E.
Le uscite preamplificate sinistra e destra anteriori del sinto-
amplificatore AV sono semplicemente trasmesse a un qualsiasi ingresso
desiderato dell’840E, e tale ingresso è impostato sul guadagno fisso. Il
sinto-amplificatore AV è quindi collegato ai vari altoparlanti di suono
ambientale (surround) mentre le unità 840E/W comandano i canali
frontali di sinistra e destra.
L’840E/W può quindi essere utilizzato con le sorgenti stereo, connesse
come normali, per ottenere la miglior qualità acustica possibile. Quando si
desidera decodificare il suono ambientale, selezionare l’ingresso per il
guadagno fisso prescelto sull’840E. Il sinto-amplificatore AV può ora essere
utilizzato per decodificare le sorgenti ambientali, e controllare il volume di
tutti i canali, mentre il comando di volume dell’840E sarà disattivato.
Si suggerisce di rinominare l’ingresso a livello fisso come “Modo AV”, o
qualcosa di simile, sull’840E. Dato che il guadagno può essere
impostato a un valore qualsiasi, sarà facile far corrispondere il livello
dell’840E a quello degli altri canali AV:
Per impostare un volume a livello fisso per una data sorgente,
selezionare FIXED INP nel menu di configurazione del sistema:
Selezionare l’ingresso richiesto e predisporre il guadagno fisso
utilizzando il comando di volume (la predisposizione OFF non disattiva
l’ingresso, ma lascia il guadagno di livello soggetto al comando di
volume, ovvero all’impostazione per difetto). Quando una sorgente
presenta un ingresso a livello fisso, il bilanciamento è sempre impostato
come neutro. Premere il pulsante Mode per uscire.
