Bridged dual mono connections
Bi-amped dual mono connections
The 840W features Mono and Bridged Mono settings that allow two (or
more) 840Ws to be used as mono-blocs for high end systems. Below is
an example using two 840W’s in Bridged Mono with an 840E.
In Bridged Mono mode each 840W drives one speaker across its output
channels acting as a 500W mono amplifier instead of a 200wpc stereo
one. One 840W drives the left speaker and the other the right.
Important 840W settings
Only use the Left Inputs on the 840W for Bridged operation.
In this configuration the Stereo/Mono switch on the 840W must be set
to ‘Mono’ and the Mono mode switch must be set to ‘Bridged’.
