It is important to understand how the system

works and how the ngerprints will be regis-

tered correctly, to make the utilisation as sim-

ply as possible.

Fingerprints will be stored as so-called “tem-

plates” in the memory of the control unit. It is

not possible to re-construct complete nger-

print images from the templates, but to com-

pare two templates with each other.

BAC-20

The BAC-20 stores the ngerprints in the or-

der of their registration until 100 templates

have been stored. You can not delete single

templates but only all templates at once.

BAC-40

With the BAC-40, the ngerprints can only

be deleted directly through the controlbox if

this is setted to Basic mode (delivery status).

Please note that this adjustment can be mo-

died to Plus-Mode by the optional portable

programmer. As soon as the settings have

been changed to Plus-Mode the pushbuttons

can‘t be operated any more. All modications

can then be done by the programmer only.

IMPORTANT!

The BAC-20 and BAC-40 have got a storage

capacity of 100 templates. In case that this

amount is reached, you will hear an alert si-

gnal if you try to register a new ngerprint. If

you insist on registering this ngerprint, you

have to delete all templates. (Except BAC-40

in conjunction with BAC-400).

Registering new ngerprints.

To use the lower push button (M) on the

controlbox, you need to use an item like

a needle, paper-clip or a similar ne and

pointed item.

Press the M button shortly until a

signal appears.

Now, all 3 LED‘s will start ashing

(red and blue). After a further signal

sound, the red LED (P/W) will start

to glow constantly.

Now please open the cover of the

outdoor unit (reader) and put your n-

ger (as described on page 14) shortly

on the sensor surface. After that you

will hear a short signal sound which

conrms the registration of your n-

gerprint.

The registration has been completed

after some further sounds and if no

LED is glowing any more.
