- These operating instructions are intended to show you
how to use your Campingaz
®
"Grilladero® / Grilladero® Plus
/ Grilladero® PZ, Grilladero® R / Grilladero® R Plus / Grilladero®
R PZ"
correctly and safely.
- Read them carefully and get to know the appliance
before fitting it to its gas container.
- Comply with the instructions in this manual and the
safety recommendations displayed on the CV 470 and
CV 270 Campingaz
®
cartridges. (
Grilladero® / Grilladero®
Plus / Grilladero® PZ
) or on the Campingaz
®
901, 904 and
907 containers (
Grilladero® R / Grilladero® R Plus /
Grilladero® R PZ
). Failure to comply with these instruc-
tions can be dangerous for the user and those around
him.
- Always keep these operating instructions in a safe
place so that you can refer to them when necessary.
- This appliance must only be used with CV 270 and CV
470 Campingaz
®
cartridges. (
Grilladero® / Grilladero® Plus
/ Grilladero® PZ
) or Campingaz
®
containers 901, 904 and
907 (
Grilladero® R / Grilladero® R Plus / Grilladero® R PZ
). It
could be dangerous to try using other gas containers.
- The company "Application Des Gaz" disclaims all
responsibility if any other gas containers are used.
- When using the appliance with the saucepan rest, the
room must be sufficiently ventilated (a minimum of 2
m3/h/kw). When using the grill cooking plate (barbecue
function), the appliance must only be used outdoors.
- Do not use an appliance that leaks, operates badly or
which is damaged. Return it to your retailer who will
inform you of the nearest after-sales-service.
- Never carry out any modifications to this appliance or
use it for any purpose other than that for which it was
designed.
- Use the appliance on a horizontal surface well away
from flammable material.
B - ASSEMBLING:
Remove the appliance from its packaging and then fol-
low the assembling instructions indicated on pages 2
and 3.

(If there is already an empty cartridge in place, read
paragraph G "Removing the Gas container")
When installing or removing a container or cartridge,
always do it in a well ventilated place, preferably out-
doors and never near a flame, a heat source or a spark
(cigarette, electrical appliance, etc.) and well away from
other people and flammable material.
Campingaz
®
cartridges and containers have valves so
they can be removed from this appliance to facilitate
transport even if they are not empty and they can be fit-
ted to other Campingaz
®
appliances in the same range
that are designed to operate exclusively with these car-
tridges or containers.
Check that the gas is turned off by turning the adjusting
knob (3) clockwise as far as it will go.
1. Fitting a Campingaz
®
CV270 / CV 470 cartridge
(
Grilladero® / Grilladero® Plus / Grilladero® PZ
) - (fig.5):
a) Unscrew the clip (7) as far as it can go without forcing
it. The arrow marked "D" indicates the direction it
should be turned.
b) Insert the 4 prongs (8) on the clip (7) into the cup (9)
of the cartridge.
c)Screw the clip back on, without forcing it, in the direc-
tion indicated by the arrow marked "B".
2. Fitting a Campingaz
®
901, 904 or 907 container
(
Grilladero® R / Grilladero® R Plus / Grilladero® R PZ
) -
(fig.6):
Check that the stove has a sealing gasket (10) and tap
thread (11) and make sure they are in good condition.
Do not use the stove if there is no seal or if it is dam-
aged - take it back to the store.
a) Take the cap off the container
b) Take the container and screw it onto the tap in the
direction indicated by the arrow marked "B".
In the event of a leak (a smell of gas before the tap has
been opened), immediately put the appliance outside in
a very ventilated place, away from sources of fire,
where the leak can be found and stopped. If you wish
to check the tightness of your appliance, do it outdoors.
Do not look for gas leaks with a flame - use gas leak
solution.
D - USING THE APPLIANCE:
PUT ABOUT 3/4 OF A LITRE OF WATER INTO THE WATER
TRAY (4). The level should remain a few millimetres
below the top of the central shaft: marked "MAX" (fig.4).
To avoid damaging the appliance, keep checking that
there is always water in the water tray (4) (fig.7).
E - PRECAUTIONS:
Do not use your appliance within 20 cm of a wall or
a combustible object.
When using the cooking plate, always make sure
that there is water in the water tray.
NEVER LEAVE THE COOKING PLATE ON WITH-
OUT FOOD PLACED ON IT FOR LONGER THAN
THE ONE MINUTE PREHEATING TIME, OTHER-
WISE YOU WILL DAMAGE THE SPECIAL COAT-
ING.
Do not handle the cooking plate when it is hot.
Wait until the appliance has completely cooled
down before putting it away.
F - USING THE COOKING PLATE:
1) Lighting a burner without pressure system (fig.8a):
Light a match and hold it to the hole marked "A".
Gradually turn the gas on by slowly turning the knob
(3) anti-clockwise ("+" direction of the arrow).
2) Lighting the burner with pressure system (fig.8b):
a) Open the tap by turning it (3) anti-clockwise: 1 rotation
maximum.
b) Press the knob (3) with the thumb until the piezo sys-
tem operates. This is made easy if the other fingers are
placed in the slot provided.
c) If the burner flame is not visible under the hot-plate,
recommence the procedure b).
d) After 3 attempts, close the tap by turning it clockwise
as far as it will go. Check that the cartridge contains gas
and start the lighting operations a) and b) again.
