Change a ﬂoating Wier style skimmer ﬁlter

IMPORTANT: SWITCH OFF ELECTRICAL SUPPLY BY DISCONNECTING THE

PLUG AT THE SOCKET OR ISOLATION SWITCH. Please contact a qualiﬁed

electrician if you need assistance or contact us at Canadian Spa.

Step 1. Removing the basket and

ﬁlter can be done with or without

water in the spa/hot tub (Tip: when

lifting ﬁlter from water have a net or

sieve in hand to catch any residual

dirt).

Step 2. To lift basket turn

counter-clockwise until the ﬂat part

of the basket aligns with the ﬂat part

of the ﬁlter housing

Step 3. Lift out the basket

Step 4. Remove the old ﬁlter

Step 5. Replace with the new ﬁlter

Change a Wier style skimmer ﬁlter

Step 1. Remove the ﬁlter cover by

sliding up the front plate

Step 2. Remove the ﬁlter tray in

order to access the ﬁlter

compartment.

Step 3. Remove the old ﬁlter(s) by

unscrewing them

Step 4. Replace with the new

ﬁlter(s) and rescrew ﬁlter(s)

Step 5. Ensure the ﬁlter tray ﬁts

in between the runners and slides

back in place. Note: Follow the same

process for a single port ﬁlter.

NOTE FOR SWIM SPAS:

Change the two ﬁlters stacked one

on top of each other. Bottom ﬁlter is

threaded and the top ﬁlter is push ﬁt

CHANGE A GRATE FILTER ON A CANADIAN SPA TUB

Step 1. Remove the two screw cap

covers

Step 2. Undo the two screws to

release ﬁlter lid

Step 3. Open the ﬁlter lid to

access the ﬁlter chamber

Step 4. Unscrew the two ﬁlters and

replace with the new ﬁlters and

rescrew into position

TIP: CLEANING YOUR FILTER

It is advisable to clean your hot tub ﬁlters every 2 or 3 weeks.

• Turn off spa power

• Remove the cartridge from the ﬁlter housing and use a

garden hose or a tap to wash down the ﬁlter. Rinse until all

dirt and debris have been removed.

• Dissolve 250 gms of Canadian Spa Filter Free in 10 litres of

luke warm water (one capful holds approximately 30 gms).

USE A PLASTIC PAIL AND MIX UNTIL THE SOLUTION TURNS

RED (ALWAYS READ THE LABEL). Soak the ﬁlter cartridge for

at least 1 hour (overnight is recommended).

• Rinse the cartridge again after cleaning to remove any traces

of cleaning solution.

• Always dry the ﬁlters before inserting them back into your

hot tub. This ensures that the ﬁlters perform to their best and

last longer. Let them dry naturally. It is also a good idea to

keep a spare set of ﬁlters.

• Do not run spa without ﬁlters. To order more ﬁlters visit our
