Recorded at 24.00 Hz/50.00 Hz/59.94 Hz Recommend checking the data and initializing
- The card contains clips that were recorded using a system frequency different from the one currently used by the
camera. To record on this card, save your recordings and initialize the card with the camera (A36). To play back the
XF-AVC clips recorded on the card, change the camera's system frequency (A63) to match the recordings on the
card.
Recording was stopped.
- The file control information is corrupted or there was an encoder error. Turn the camera off and then on again. Then,
remove the card being used and reinsert it. Alternatively, replace the card. If this does not solve the problem, consult a
Canon Service Center.
* Corrupted file control information cannot be recovered. Cards or XF-AVC clips with corrupted file control information
cannot be read by the software (Canon XF Utility).
SD Card
Cannot record at current bit rate.
-It is not possible to record to the SD card with the current recording format or resolution/bit rate. Change the recording
settings to record on the SD card.
SD Card
The memory card is not compatible with the current recording settings.
-Slow & fast motion recording was activated and a shooting frame rate corresponding to slow motion was set while
using a card with a speed class rating lower than V90. Replace the card with one rated V90.
- The main recording format was set to [XF-AVC YCC422 10 bit], or to [MP4(HEVC) YCC422 10 bit] with a 4K resolution
(4096x2160 or 3840x2160), while using a card with a speed class rating lower than V60. Replace the card with one
rated V60 or V90.
- The recording format was set to [XF-AVC YCC422 10 bit] and the bit rate was set to Intra-frame, while using a card
with a speed class rating lower than V60. Replace the card with one rated V60 or V90.
- The recording format was changed to RAW when an SD/SDHC memory card was inserted. Insert an SDXC memory
card instead.
Set the lens to the shooting position.
- The collapsible lens attached to the camera is not set to the shooting position (with the barrel extended and locked).
Set the lens to the shooting position.
Shutting down the camera. The DR-E6 DC coupler is not supported with this camera.
- The attached power source (DR-E6 DC coupler) is not supported. Use a supported power source instead.
Some audio files require data recovery.

The camera is in power saving mode. Power cannot be supplied from the camera to the accessory.

-Some setting values cannot be used during power saving mode. Refer to Power Saving Mode (A29) and check the
list of unavailable functions/settings.
The following settings were changed.
-The settings displayed on the screen were changed automatically due to a change in one of the [ÆRecording/Media
Setup] settings. Check the settings before you continue recording.
The lens does not work with the current recording setting and attached power source. Check [Power Source
Navigation] for more details.
-Use the > [BSystem Setup] > [Power Source Navigation] function to check the available lens/power source/
recording settings combination (A29).
The lens does not work with the current settings and attached power source. Setting [Run VF at 2x Speed] to [Off] is
recommended.
- With the current settings, there is not enough power to use the [Run VF at x2 Speed] function. Set [Run VF at x2
Speed] to [Off] (A32).
This cannot be changed because the remaining battery charge is low.
- Due to low battery charge, [Power Saving Mode] cannot be set to [Off].
