Cannot copy

- The total size of the scenes you selected to copy exceeds the available space in the memory.

Delete some recordings on the memory card (0 54, 100) or reduce the number of scenes to

copy.

- The memory already contains the maximum number of scenes (3,999 scenes). Delete some

scenes (0 54) to free some space.

Cannot divide the scene. Initialize only using the camcorder.

- The scene could not be divided because the camcorder’s internal scene management data log

is full. Save your recordings (0 111) and initialize the memory (0 38). Write back the

backup files and try dividing the scene again.

Cannot edit

- Could not move the scene to another story. Delete some scenes from the story (0 84).

Cannot enter standby mode now

- The camcorder cannot enter standby mode if the remaining battery charge is too low. Charge

or replace the battery pack (0 19).

Cannot load canvas

- The canvas data in the memory is corrupted.

- Cannot load canvas data saved with another device. Use canvas data saved with this cam-

corder.

Cannot play back

- If a memory card was recorded on with another device and then the LOCK switch was set to

prevent writing, gallery information cannot be accessed correctly so playback is not possible

from the gallery screen. Play back scenes from the date index screen or change the position

of the LOCK switch on the memory card.

- There is a problem with the memory. If this message appears often without apparent reason,

contact a Canon Service Center.

- There is a problem with the built-in memory. Save your recordings (0 114) and initialize the

built-in memory using the [Complete Initialization] option (0 38). If the problem persists,

contact a Canon Service Center.

Cannot play back Check the memory card

- There is a problem with the memory card. Save your recordings (0 114) and initialize the

memory card using the [Complete Initialization] option (0 38). If the problem persists, use a

different memory card.
