Important information concerning Lit hium Polymer re-
chargeable batteries
Lithium-Polymer (LiP o) r echargeable batt eries are sig-
nificantly more sensitive than traditional alkali- or NiMH-
rechargeable batteries whic h are normally used with radio
control units. Ther efore the ins tructions and warnings ha ve
to be observed in detail. In case of improper use of LiPo
rechargeable batt eries there is a danger of fire. Alwa ys fol-
low the manufacturers´ instructions if you dispose of LiPo
rechargeable batteries.
Regulations on disposal for waste electrical and elec-
tronic equipment (WEEE)
This symbol, showing refuse bins
with a cr oss through them, denotes
that empty batteries, r echargeable
batteries, button cells, recharge-
able batter y packs, equipment batteries, disused electrical
equipment, etc. should not be disposed of in domestic re-
fuse, as they are harmful to the environment and health.
Please help to preser v e environment and health and talk
to your children about the correct disposal of used batteries
and disused electrical equipment. Batteries and disused
electrical equipment should be handed in to the usual collec-
tion points where they can be properl y recycled.
Do not mix dissimilar battery t ypes or employ new and used
batteries together . Em p ty batt eries should be remov ed fr om
the product. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable
batteries. Rechargeable batteries are only t o be charged
by adults. Exhaus ted batteries are t o be remov ed from the
toy . Rechargeable batteries should be r emoved from the
product bef ore charging. Supply terminal are not to be short-
circuited. Only use the batteries recommended or equivalent
types.
If in regular use the charger must be e xamined f or damag e
to the cord, plug, co vers and all other parts. If any signs of
damage are found the charger may only be used again after
repair work has been completed.
Guidelines and warnings f or the use of LiPo recharge-
able batteries
• Y ou hav e to charge the attac hed 3.7 V 1 50 mAh LiPo
rechargeable batter y in a safe place and at a saf e dis tance
to flammable material.
• Ne ver leav e the battery unattended while it is charging
• After a flight, the rechargeable batter y has to cool down to
the ambient air temperature before char ging it.
• Y ou must alway s use the corresponding LiPo charging unit
(USB cable / remot e control). In case of non-compliance with
these directions there is a danger of fire resulting in a health
risk and/or damage to proper ty . NEVER use an y o ther bat-
tery charger.
• Should the r echargeable batter y swell or deform while dis-
charging or recharging, you hav e to immediately s top charg-
ing or discharging the battery. T ak e the battery out as quickly
and carefully as possible and place it in a safe and open area
offside any inflammable material and watch it f or at least 1 5
minutes. In case y ou continue charging or discharging a bat-
tery which has already star t ed t o swell or deform there is a
danger of fire! Even in case of slight def orming or ballooning
the rechargeable battery has to be taken out of operation.
• St ore the rechargeable batt er y at ambient temperature in a
dry place.
• Alw ays recharge the battery immediately after use to
prevent its becoming deep discharged. Please make
sure t o allo w a pause of about 20 minutes between fin-
ishing the flight and recharging the battery. Recharge
the batt ery occasionally (sugg ested ev ery 2-3 mont hs).
Failure to treat the battery as described above can lead
to its becoming defective.
• When transporting or t emporarily storing the r echargeable
battery the temperature should be between 5-50°C. If pos-
sible, do not stor e the batt ery or the model in a car and do
not expose it to direct sunlight. In case the battery is br oiled
it can be damaged or catch fire.
Note: If the battery voltage/output is low y ou will r ecognise
that a considerable trim and/or controlling is necessary to
avoid that the helicopter starts trundling. This usually occurs
before r eaching a battery voltage of 3 V and it is a good mo-
ment to end the flight.
