1. About these Instructions

• Before using the shaver for the ﬁrst time, read the Instructions for Use

carefully and ensure you comply with the safety instructions!

• The shaver should only be used as described in these instructions.

• Keep these instructions for reference.

• If you pass the shaver on to someone else, please include these

instructions.

Warnings in these instructions

If necessary, the following warnings will be used in these operating instructions:

DANGER! High risk: Failure to observe this warning may result in injury

to life and limb.

WARNING! Moderate risk: Failure to observe this warning may result in

injury or serious material damage.

CAUTION: Low risk: Failure to observe this warning may result in minor

injury or material damage.

NOTE: Circumstances and speciﬁcs that must be observed when handling the

device.

2. Safety Instructions

Intended use

The men's shaver is intended exclusively for trimming human nose and ear hair.

The shaver is designed for private home use and must not be used for commercial

purposes. The shaver must only be used indoors.

Possible misuse

Do not use the device to cut artiﬁcial hair or animal hair.

Instructions for a safe operation

• This device may be used by children older than 8 years, people with reduced

physical, sensory or mental faculties, as well as people without experience or

who do not know the device. This applies as long as they are supervised or

have been instructed on the safe use of the device and have understood the

related dangers.

• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children without

supervision.

• Keep the device and accessories out of children's reach.

DANGER for children

• Children must not play with packaging material. Do not allow children

to play with plastic bags. Danger of suffocation.

Batteries

• Batteries are dangerous and can cause death if swallowed. For this reason,

store batteries out of the reach of small children. If a battery has been swal-

lowed, a doctor must be consulted immediately.

• When inserting the battery, observe the correct polarity.

• If the device will not be used for an extended period of time, remove the

battery. The battery could leak and damage the device.

• Do not expose the batteries to extreme conditions, do not place them on heat-

ers and do not expose them to direct sunlight. Otherwise there is an increased

danger of the batteries leaking.

• Batteries must not be charged or reactivated in any other way, must not be

disassembled, disposed of in a ﬁre, or short-circuited.

• When battery acid has leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous mem-

branes. In the event of contact with the acid, rinse the affected areas liberally

with clear water and consult a doctor immediately.

WARNING! Risk of injury

• Do not insert the nose/ear hair trimmer attachment too far into your nostril or ear.

• Do not use the device on injured skin (e.g. open wounds or swellings, rash,

sunburn).

• Before using the device, ensure the attachments are in a proper condition. Do

not use defective attachments.

• Do not operate the device if the device shows visible signs of damage or if the

device has been dropped.

• Switch off the device before pinning up or changing the attachments and each

time before cleaning.

• Keep the device away from your eyes.

• To avoid any risk, do not make any changes to the device or accessories.

Repairs must only be carried out by a specialised company.

WARNING! Risk of material damage

• Protect the device from moisture, dripping water or splash water.

• Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.

3. Operation

WARNING!

• Do not insert the nose/ear hair trimmer attachment too far into your nostril or ear.

• Do not use the device on injured skin (e.g. open wounds or swellings, rash,

sunburn).

Inserting the battery

Use a 1.5 V LR6 (AA) battery as power supply.

1. Move the on/off switch downwards, to switch off the device.

2. Turn the device so that the battery compartment cover is at the top.

3. Slightly turn the battery compartment cover anti-clockwise and pull it off.

4. If necessary, remove the old battery. Insert a new battery. The negative terminal

(–) must be directed towards the battery compartment cover.

5. Place the battery compartment cover upon the device again and move it slowly

in clockwise direction until it engages with a "click" sound.

Nose/ear hair trimmer attachment

The nose/ear hair trimmer attachment is destined for cutting nose and ear hair.

1. Take off the protective cap.

2. Check that the attachment is in place.

3. Move the on/off switch upwards to switch on the device.

4. Slowly insert the metal tip into one of your nostrils or ears.

5. Move the device in circles to cut the hair.

6. Move the on/off switch downwards to switch off the device, and clean it.

5. Disposal

This symbol indicates that the product must be disposed of in a separate

waste collection within the European Union. This applies to the product

and all accessories marked with this symbol. Products marked as such

may not be discarded with normal domestic waste, but must be taken to

a collection point for recycling electrical and electronic devices.

Batteries must not be disposed of in domestic waste. Used batteries must

be disposed of properly. For this purpose, retailers selling batteries and

the municipal waste collection points provide containers for disposing of

batteries.

Packaging

If you want to dispose of the packaging, make sure you comply with the

environmental regulations applicable in your country.

6. Warranty and Service

Under our terms of warranty, we warranty that our technical appliances will

provide faultless quality and function.

The warranty period is 36 months from the date of purchase. Please keep

your receipt as proof of purchase.

NOTE: The following will void the warranty: Incorrect or improper handling

of the device, failure to comply with the safety precautions that apply to the

device, use of force, alterations or repairs carried out by a party other than the

service address that we have authorised.

Furthermore, components that are subject to normal wear and tear or

use are excluded from the warranty.

This warranty shall not in any way limit the distributor‘s statutory or legal

warranty obligations. In order for us to be able to allow you to return your goods

free of charge during the warranty period and to help us to process your claim

quickly and accurately, it is crucial that you call or email us to request an RMA

number (Return Material Authorisation) before you send a device back to us. This

number helps our service department to identify your device immediately and

will optimise the processing of your claim. You will then receive a new or repaired

device. Please use the original packaging in order to avoid transport damage and

enclose a copy of your invoice.

A detailed description of the claim reduces the processing time.
