Congratulations upon your selection of this CASIO w atch. T o get the most out of your
purchase, be sure to read this manual carefully .
What to do if the bottom dial hand is stopped
The watch is shipped from the f actory with the bottom dial
hand stopped in order to conserve batter y power . Ev en
though the bottom dial hand is stopped, the watch
continues to maintain the current time internally . If the
bottom dial hand is stopped when you purchase the
watch, press any one of the watch’ s b uttons to start hand
movement.

About This Manual
• Button operations are indicated using the letters shown
in the illustration.
• Each section of this manual provides you with the
information you need in order to perform operations in
each mode. Further details and technical information
can be found in the “Reference” section.
• The bottom dial is a disk that rotates to indicate various
types of information, depending on the mode.
- During regular timekeeping, the thick line of the disk
indicates the current second. In other modes, the thic k
line on the disk will indicate the day of the week, the
alarm ON/OFF setting, and the DST ON/OFF setting.
- When setting the date, the disk rotates so the arrow
mark at the top of the dial points to the value that
represents the ones digit of the current year setting.
During a stopwatch operation, the dial rotates at one
rev olution per second. The 1/20-second count is the
value indicated b y the arrow mark at the top of the dial.

Timekeeping
Use the Timek eeping Mode to set and view the current
time and date, and to switch betw een Standard Time and
Daylight Saving Time (summer time).
• Daylight Saving Time (summer time) adv ances the time
setting by one hour from Standard Time. Remember that
not all countries or even local areas use Da ylight Saving
Time.
• Pressing A in the Timek eeping Mode will cause the
bottom dial hand to mov e to the current day of the week.
Also , the indicator hand will move to the city code that is
currently selected as your Home City .
Press A to return to regular timekeeping. The watch
also will return to regular timekeeping if you do not
perform any operation f or about three seconds.

T o set the time and date
1. In the Timekeeping Mode , hold down A for about three
seconds until the watch beeps .
• The indicator hand will mov e to the city code that is
currently selected as the Home City . This is the city
code setting mode.
• The bottom dial hand also will indicate the current
DST on/off setting at this time.
2. Press D to mov e the indicator hand clockwise, until it
points at the city code y ou want to select as your Home
City .
• For full inf ormation on city codes, see the “City Code
T a ble”.
3. Press B to toggle the DST setting indicated by the
bottom dial hand on or off .
• Even after y ou change the DST setting, you still can
use D to select a different Home City code if y ou
want.

4. After the Home City and DST settings are the wa y you
want, press C.
• This will cause the watch to beep and the indicator
hand to mov e to the 12 o’clock position. This is the
time setting mode.
• All hands (except f or the indicator hand and the
bottom dial hand) and the day displa y will change
automatically to the current time and date settings for
the selected city code.
• All button operations are disabled while the hands and
day displa y are changing.
5. Use D (+) and B (–) to change the time (hour and
minute) setting.
• As you set the time, tak e care to ensure that the
left dial hand also indicates the correct 24-hour
timekeeping hour .
6. After the time setting is the wa y you want, press C.
• This will cause the watch to beep and change to the
year setting mode .

7. Use D and B to change the year setting.
• Y ou can set the y ear within the r ange of 2001 to 2099.
• Use B to move the indicator hand cloc kwise to the
value of the tens digit that you w ant to specify . T o set
2012, for e xample, mov e the hand to 10.
• Use D to rotate the bottom dial so the ones digit you
want to specify is at the top (under the
mark). T o
set 2012, for e xample, rotate the dial until 2 is at the
top as shown in the illustration.
8. After the year setting is the w ay you w ant, press C.
• This will cause the watch to beep and change to the
month setting mode.

9. Use D to move the indicator hand cloc kwise to the
month you want to specify . T o set June , for e xample,
move the hand to 6 (J un).
10. After the month setting is the way you want, press C.
• This will cause the watch to beep and change to the
day setting mode .
11. Use D (+) and B (–) to change the day setting.
• When setting the day , the watch automatically will
skip da ys (30 and 31 ) that are not included in the
currently selected month. If you can’t select 30 or 31
when you want to , chec k to make sure that the
proper month is selected.
• Y o u can return to the time setting mode after
configuring the day setting b y pressing C.
Pressing C will cause the watch to beep twice .

12. After all of the settings are the way you want and the da y display is no longer
changing, press A . This will cause the bottom dial hand to start moving again and
the other hands to star t moving from their current positions .
• Y o u can press A at any time during the abov e procedure to return to regular
timekeeping.
• The watch’ s built-in full automatic calendar mak es allowances f or different month
lengths and leap years . Once you set the date, there should be no reason to change
it e xcept after you hav e the watch’ s battery replaced.
Stopwatch
The stopwatch lets you measure elapsed time .
• When you enter the Stopwatch Mode, the bottom dial
hand moves to 12 o’cloc k and the right dial hands move
to 12 o’clock.
• Y o u can start elapsed time measurement with the
stopwatch while the watch is in the Stopw atch Mode or
the Timekeeping Mode.
• The display range of the stopw atch is 23 hours,
59 minutes, 59.95 seconds.
• The stopwatch continues to run, restarting from zero
after it reaches its limit, until you stop it.
• Y o u can switch to another mode from the Stopw atch
Mode only while the stopwatch is stopped and reset.

T o start an elapsed time operation while in the Stopwatch Mode
1. In the Timek eeping Mode, press D to enter the Stopwatch Mode .
2. In the Stopwatch Mode, press B to start elapsed time measurement.
3. Press B to stop elapsed time measurement.
• Y o u can restart and stop elapsed time measurement as many times as you like b y
pressing B .
• The bottom dial hand indicates 1/20 seconds during the first 60 seconds only , and
then stops. When elapsed time measurement is stopped (by pressing B ), the
bottom dial hand will jump to the 1/20 second indication (which is kept internally).
4. Check the elapsed time .
• After you are finished measuring elapsed time, press D to reset the stopwatch. The
stopwatch will stop and reset e ven if you press D while elapsed time measurement
is in progress.
• T o return to regular timekeeping, press D while the stopwatch is reset.
