Safety instructions
Read through the safety instructions carefully before
commissioning
the receiver. Observe all warnings and notes on the
device and in the operating instructions.
Basic safety instructions
Electrical connection
• To avoid the danger of fire and the risk of electric
shock, do not expose the receiver to rain or other
types of moisture.
• Never open the housing. This otherwise leads to
a risk of electric shock.
• Only connect the receiver to a properly installed
100–240 V, 50–60 Hz mains socket.
• Total current consumption at the receiver's "ANT
IN" antenna connection must not exceed 75 mA.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the socket if the
device is not used for a long period of time. Pull
on the mains plug only.
• If foreign bodies or fluid enter the receiver, imme-
diately disconnect the mains plug from the soc-
ket. Have the device checked by qualified, speci-
alist personnel before recommissioning it. This
otherwise leads to a risk of electric shock.
• Do not kink or crush the mains power cable.
• Do not touch the mains power cable with moist
hands. This otherwise leads to a risk of electric
shock.
• If the mains power cable is damaged, the recei-
ver must be repaired by specialist personnel
before it can be used again. This otherwise leads
to a risk of electric shock.
• Never allow children to use the receiver without
supervision or to play with the antenna system.
• Always have maintenance work carried out by
qualified, specialist personnel. You otherwise
place yourself and others in danger.
• In the event of malfunctions, disconnect the
receiver from the power source.
• The mains plug must be freely accessible so that
in an emergency you can disconnect the receiver
from the mains quickly and easily.
• Please ensure that the receiver is not exposed to
any dripping water or spray. Do not put any items
filled with liquids - such as vases - on or above
the receiver.
• Do not allow children to play with packing foils as
there is a danger of suffocation.
The correct location
• Place the receiver onto a firm, level surface.
• Avoid placing it in the vicinity of:
- sources of heat such as e.g. radiators,
- naked flames such as e.g. candles,
- devices with strong magnetic fields such as e.g.
loudspeakers.
• Avoid direct sunlight and locations with unusually
high levels of dust or humidity.
• Avoid subjecting the receiver to shocks.
• Never cover the ventilation slots. Ensure sufficient
ventilation.
• Do not place heavy objects onto the receiver.
• Moisture may form inside the receiver if it is
moved from a cold environment to a warm envi-
ronment. In this case, wait for approximately two
to three hours before commissioning the receiver.
• Route the mains power cable and the antenna
cable so that nobody is able to tread on or stum-
ble over them.
Correct use of batteries
• Batteries may contain toxins. Batteries must not
fall into the hands of children. Children may place
batteries in their mouths and swallow them.
• Leaking batteries may cause damage to the
remote control. If you do not use the receiver for
a long period of time, remove the batteries from
the remote control.
• Batteries may contain toxins which cause damage
to the environment. Batteries must therefore be
disposed of according to the applicable legal
regulations under all circumstances. Never dispo-
se of batteries in normal domestic waste.
• It is not permitted to use odd batteries or new
and used batteries together.
