Connected Wattage

The total power consumption of this device can be up to

2000 W. With this connected load a separate supply line pro-

tected by a 16 A household circuit breaker is recommended.

CAUTION: OVERLOAD:

• If you use extension leads, these should have a cable

cross-section of at least 1.5 mm

• Do not use any multiple sockets, as this device is too

powerful.

Use

1. Place the machine on a ﬂat surface.

2. Open the kettle with the button in the handle. Fill it with

water. Fill only up to the maximum mark (MAX). You can

read off the water level in the water level display.

3. Close the lid.

4. Place the kettle ﬂush on the base.

5. Only connect the machine to a properly installed 230 V,

50 Hz safety socket.

6. Switch to position „1“. The LED on the water level indicator

will light up to indicate that the water is being boiled.

7. After boiling the machine switches off automatically. Discon-

nect the machine from the mains electricity

Cleaning

WARNING:

• Always turn the device off before cleaning it and remove

the mains plug. Wait until the device has cooled down.

• Never immerse the device or the base in water or other

liquids.

CAUTION:

• Do not use any wire brush or other abrasive objects.

• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

• Rinse the water container out with clean water. Then dry it

off with a cloth.

• Clean the housing after use with a slightly damp cloth.

Decalciﬁcation

• The frequency of the decalcifying operation depends on the

hardness of the water and on how often the appliance is

used.

• If the machine switches off before the water boils, it probably

needs to be decalciﬁed.

• Please do not use vinegar but a commercially available

decalciﬁcation agent on the basis of citric acid. Only use the

quantities stated in the instructions.

 NOTE:

After descaling the device boil fresh water in it several times

(approximately 3-4 times) in order to remove any residues. Do

not consume this water.
